Kia Sorento EX V6 AWD... looks like a good deal. Opinions?

Hey everyone!

I’ve been lurking for a long time. The info here is amazing! I’ve been shopping around for a 7-seater for a bit now and wanted to see what you guys think of this offer I received this morning. I don’t have the net cap cost yet, though I asked them to clarify.

2017 Kia Sorento EX V6 AWD
12k/36mo (I’m trying to get a 10k lease quote, too)
MSRP: $37,050
Kia Lease Cash: $5,500 (they upped the incentive this month!)
Discount: $3,067
MF: 0.00191
Residual: $20,007 (54%)
Drive off: $1,000
Payment: $340.98/mo (I live in OR, so no taxes)

I’m below 1%, which looks good, and the Leasehackr score is 9, which seems OK. Anyone else have some input?

You should be aiming for 10% off MSRP before rebates. You are not quite there yet.

Yeah, I’m trying. Most of the Kia dealers in the Portland area aren’t willing to go much beyond 8%-ish. We’ll see what they say tomorrow

You may find a higher spec model such as the SX leases for similar money given the larger rebates. I know the SXL was basically the same as the SX.

I’d love an SXL, but finding 2017s around Portland has been difficult. The dealer that’s given me the best quote does have one, though, so I’ll talk to them about it tomorrow. Thanks!

I was at $389 a month on an SXL with 8.75% tax and $2000 drive off. (Which was standard given the $6k in rebates heaped on tax, there was no CCR)

Woah! Where did you get that quote? Do you by chance remember the MSRP?

It was $45500 or there or thereabouts. They don’t really have any options other than random dealer fit stuff. It was white with black interior.

They just came back with another quote on an EX. Accessories must be different :stuck_out_tongue:

MSRP 36,315
Rebate 5,500
Discount 3,120 (closer!)
MF 0.00191
Drive off 1,000
Payment 317.76 (no tax in OR)

I think I’ll go test-drive this and pressure them for a bit more discount.

That’s a great price, do you remember the dealer?

DCH Temecula, Talk to Ted there, really great guy. He seems to offer 7% as the norm but will go to 10%.

Dammit, I’m on the east coast. For some reason I thought you were out here to.

It just keeps getting better. 2 dealers have been fighting it out a bit.

2017 Sorento SX V6 AWD
Vehicle Price: $ 42,105.00
Rebate: $ 5,500.00
Discount: $ 4,105.00
Your Price: $ 32,500.00
Residual: $ 22,736.70
MF 0.00098
Out the door: $1000
Payment $335.50

This deal is so enticing. I was quote almost 440 for SXL in north Cali. I would be very interested if dealer can replicate these numbers.

You are almost at 10% which is where you should be.

PM me if you want to get 10% in SoCal.

OKAY! I just got off the phone with the dealer and here’s the car I’m picking up tomorrow:

2017 Sorento SX V6 AWD
MSRP 42,105
Sales Price 37,450 (yay! 11%!)
Kia Rebate 5,500
OTD $1000 (Acq, docs, reg, yada)
Residual 22,736.70

Payment $321/mo (still no tax in OR)

For anyone else that’s interested, I can ask if they’re willing to work with out-of-state buyers, but there are very few 2017 SX Sorentos left in the area.

What color is the interior? Looks like from MSRP of your SX that it has the technology package. There are 4 SX in my area with Tech and they all have that Merlot interior, which I’m not in love with.

37k msrp for a kia? Say it ain’t so!!!

For 350 a month please consider a highlander xle or Qx50. You may even get a Volvo xc60 if you negotiate right.

It’s $42K+, actually :smiling_face:Didn’t have your morning coffee yet?
And you can’t get XC60 for under $400/mo, sorry. Not even you.

Edit: you actually can get a pretty base XC60 for under $400/mo even with their 46-47% RV  The guy who got it for $480/mo had Polestar installed (-$40/mo) and rolled in dealer fees, acquisition and first month (-$60/mo more or less)

Edit 2: he actually had a loyalty also, so +$30/mo - brings to $410/mo incl. tax. Over $400
