Yes, this is typical. While there is always some electric power, when the battery is depleted the vehicle runs primarily on the gas engine. When the battery has charge it defaults to primarily electric operation with gas assist when needed. The four cyclinder can get very thrashy when it is carrying most of the load, especially at higher RPMs. This is the one thing that makes the 4xe not worth the price premium over the gas JGC. Yes, it has much more total power and torque than the 6- cyclinder which makes it easier to drive, but that 4 cyclinder is not very refined.

The Acq fee depends on which bank they use for the lease. CCAP is different from Stellantis. It sounds like they may be trying to mark up the Acq fee on you, which they can do, but is negotiable. The bank sets a minimum fee.
Sfs acq fee is $995 on these. There’s no markup going on.

Really enjoying the car so far. Can extend for 6 months as well. Interior and sound system very nice. Car drives well.
