Help me understand something here. Many of us are targeting new cars while some are targeting fart cars. Some of these fart cars are considered corporate or courtesy loaners; while others have a lower (higher?) of farts.
Is it possible to come together to have a single source of brands that support Preowned leasing but also like what types? For example: GM offers courtesy loaners for lease which are marked as “new”, but don’t they offer leases on “ex loaners that were titled as corporate/fleet” which are marked as “preowned” Or BMW has CPO leases but don’t they also have “corporate loaners” usually marked on CarFax coming from NJ..And with say KIA/Hyundai they don’t even offer any farts?
Just to clarify, are you asking for a consolidated thread of info about brands that offer leases on “used” cars where the programs are the same or very similar to those of new cars (including rebates/incentives)?
I think so, so like a list of manufacturers and whether or not they offer leasing on what types of used units. And in some cases if there known incentives on those units (not asking to show exact numbers as those change) but something like:
BMW CPO: Yes under X miles, New lease rates/incentives apply
BMW Corp Loaner: Yes, CarFax will show Woodcliff, New lease rates/incentives apply
Chevy Courtesy Loaner (Nee Listed): Yes, check for additional incentives
Chevy Ex-Loaner (Preowned Listed): Check
CarFax to see x,y,z. New car and Courtesy loaner incentives apply.
Porsche CPO: Yes, residual and rates are per VIN basis

Used leases are such a gigantic waste of money 99% of the time that in the very, very rare case it makes sense, this place gets flooded with relevant threads quickly (see occasionally cpo taycan threads that pop up when the programs for the month fall in line)
That may be the case but again you are using the word “used” and there are nuances. And as we’ve seen with Audi e-tron GTs, I believe most of us are shooting for the 1% not the 99%?
That definitely can be added to the list.. worthwhile to explore yes/no?
Maybe. My vague memory is that other people will suggest this from time to time but that, b/c info about such programs is so spotty, nothing much ever comes to together.

Loaners aren’t considered pre-owned leases. Once they have been titled and cross into pre-owned land, with the rarest of exceptions, you’re wasting your time even looking at them.
Now, a more useful data matrix would be what falls into the loaner category that isn’t considered pre-owned.
“Leasing Loaners / Demos 101” - OP seems to want a matrix of OEMs that allow new car lease programs (with residual adjustments) and incentives (some-or-all iX) irrespective of whether it was miled-up on a D-tag or punched by the dealer. “Used” isn’t relevant because these OEMs don’t offer a captive lease on their used cars - the one current exception being Porsche CPO leases.
Most of the relevant post history pops if searching “loaner”. And a significant number pop for “fart car”.

So this is the thing that it’s not always the case across all brands. Again I’m under the impression (wrong?) that if we take GM for example. We can have a “Preowned” ex-loaner that is listed for $50k and a “New” ex-loaner that is listed for $70k. Both would qualify for new lease rates/incentives given their title history right? But if we take Audi with the same example, the rates/incentives/etc are not the same which may lead to a bad deal. This grey area is what I’m trying to highlight or make more transparent.

I think we are saying the same thing because we can technically lease any car that falls into a “loaner” category HOWEVER as stated above, Porsche/Audi you can lease preowned units.
So again, when we post these things it would be nice to validate as what you said isn’t true. I leased an Audi that was used/titled by an actual owner, not a loaner. I think GM allows this as well, and maybe other manufacturers? And just because the lending arm allows this doesn’t always mean the dealer will given how the lease can technically work out.
There are options for leasing used, previously titled vehicles, but not through the captive bank programs (with rare exception). Different used lease programs exist but they are almost exclusively atrocious.
If the most action a thread will see are posts about why the subject has close to no utility and could be confusing to people then maybe it shouldn’t be a thread?
