Didnt the italian officials say that 80% of aid was useless? Kind of like the china test kits and PPE in EU was 70% faulty?
I don’t know. But they claimed in Russia that it was ‘aid’ while we payed for it.
NJ Gov. Murphy just closed all state & county parks, as well as schools. So does this mean they are stopping remote learning?!?

Interesting modeling on epidemic / pandemics and how they spread. FYI good watch but 23min long.
Its good to see some parts of the country have done well controlling their outbreak and leveling the curve and they will soon be able to open some of their economy! Unfortunately NY Metro is way behind and a few more weeks before we can even consider Phase-1.

Hoping the Stay at home / work from home ends soon. Did anyone catch the 2 Cali Dr’s from Bakersville and their news conference? Pretty interesting data & science they share about their 9 clinics, the COVID patient data being reported by states like CA / NY and major countries in Europe, and how all that data is showing that quarantining the healthy is not preventing deaths.
The Youtube link below combine both Part 1&2 of their news conference, Part-1 is no longer available on Youtube, is was reporting as violating community guidelines, but this video which includes some commentary, includes the original Part-1. It’s over an hour long, but the data they share and analyze is eye opening, and clearly shows that we should not be staying inside any more.
They are ER doctors not public heath experts or statisticians.
Listen to Drs Fauci and Birx. They are the expert with experience and expertise.

It’s bad but I feel like the media coverage has made it worse/amplified the terror factor for most. There’s no trauma like psychological trauma.

These urgent care doctors are muddying the statistics to support their narrative. Nevermind that their samplings are only symptomatic patients presenting to their urgent care, to take the 6.5% positive tests and to blatantly apply that to the entire population of California proves they’re not taking a scientific approach to the numbers.
You need a completely randomized sampling to even begin to make generalizations.
Another huge problem I have with their interview was the fact that their poor reasoning for stay at home orders for healthy people or presumed non-infected people. Number one, we have no idea who has it because people haven’t been tested, and secondly, there are asymptomatic carriers of covid19.
The analogy of measles doesn’t work here. It’s true we isolate symptomatic patients that either test positive or we have a high suspicion for measles. But we do not isolate asymptomatic people because there have been NO known cases of asymptomatic transmission of measles. This is an apples to oranges to comparison and ultimately faulty logic.
The reason the public health experts are harping about large scale testing is that we need to know the negative population before we reopen everything.
We cannot possibly stop the spread even with mass testing, but testing everyone and tracing is the only way we can start up our economy without a catastrophe we saw in NYC.
