I knew by early January and I am just a regular guy. They knew, they just chose not to act on it like the rest of the world. Everyone wants to protect the economy.

Sorry, should’ve clarified that it’s a 4-lane freeway in EACH DIRECTION (the 405 freeway, if you’re familiar w/ LA), not including a carpool lane (also in each direction). And the right lane in my area doesn’t move that much slower than the lane right next to it, so I was driving pretty close to the same speed as everyone else.
I assume I wasn’t the only car being cut off.

Good news for Californians. Current projections show at our peak day of April 26th, we will have enough hospital and ICU beds for the projected amount of covid19 patients.
Although these projections are fluid, as a health professional it gives me hope for these difficult times.

Russian Air Force AN-124 Ruslan delivered it yesterday to NY. Must be the first Russian military plane at JFK. Today it is flying back

That was a totally WTF moment when I saw that news - as if one plane can solve anything.
And out of all - Russia to US? Why not Italy a months ago? Why not keep it since Russia is going into lockdown itself and doesn’t have much for their own people.

Why not? Russia loves nothing more than to poke us with a stick. What better way than to play the compassionate one. One plane isn’t really enough to make a huge difference, but it’s certainly enough to poke certain groups in the US in the eye.
They did send help to Italy also. About 3 weeks ago.

We just ordered some N95 masks from a local tailor making them for the community and local hospitals. Have a good source that said NYS is going to be mandatory mask anytime you leave the house very soon. If you get one or a few now beat the toilet paper insanity. Before anyone says your taking from the hospitals, anyone making them on side is limiting the amount you can purchase.
It will if it’s specifically for NY, which I think is the case. Otherwise, they would’ve landed on some military base for the government’s distribution. But yea, Putin is playing his games more than anything.

I;ve been sitting at for home 3 weeks now. Current incubation period average is 5-6 days, 14 days max. Who the fuck are these people still going that can create the peak in 3 weeks from today!

And a small number of “essential workers” whether they are true essential or their bosses can’t let them work from home unless mandated under order.
I’m going to have to go into the office next week for at least one day. Not looking forward to it. At least my 14 day, post-international travel quarantine is coming to an end without any excitement.
