Instructions on how to get a BMW OL incentive - Ultimate Drive Events UDE

Thanks for sharing! A friend signed up and got an OL Code right away, even though it’s now June 23. Hope this particular code can be applied nationally at any BMW dealer.

Edit: It says “southern region” in the fine print. Wonder which states this includes…

We’d have to check if a dealer in a different region is able to view and process the code. BMW splits dealers up by region but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it wouldn’t work at any dealer.

Need a dealer to provide some input here. What is the official BMW NA policy on applying OL codes to loaners?

@BMW_Dave, some dealers are saying the OL codes can’t apply to loaners. Is this true? Would a dealer still get the $500 from BMW if they attempt to apply an OL code to a loaner? I’m assuming the dealers resist accepting OL codes on loaners b/c they are already discounted and refuse to go another $500 lower, but if they get the other $500 from BMW, I don’t see why they wouldn’t honor at least the $500 portion of it.

Any input/feedback would be appreciated.

The OL code that I recently received has the following language:

“$1,000 offer valid on eligible new model year 2018 and 2019 vehicles in dealer stock delivered and retailed through August 31, 2019. Models excluded are 2019 X7, 8 Series (all variants), 2018 M2 Coupe, 2019 M2 Competition, and M5 (all variants). This offer cannot be used for previously ordered or previously delivered vehicles and is only valid on delivery of in-stock vehicles.”

Same code here! Successfully used on my newest – Not a loaner.

I don’t suspect theres any reason a dealer wouldn’t take this on a loaner. – Unless they just don’t feel like doing the extra work…

Was this the southern Drive for a Cause code? We still haven’t figured out if it works in a different region. I’d ask a dealer to try but don’t want to embarrass myself if it doesn’t show up in their system.

Yes! My CA signed me up for it once I started working this last deal.

It should apply to loaners but to get the most accurate answer (just in case it’s event-specific) ask your CA to validate it. That will say what it can be used on

I think some of the CAs May simply be uninformed too. There was a time last year that OL didn’t apply to loaners (over 150 miles I believe) before FS changed course.

Is an OL code that is only good for a specific dealership really an OL code at all? A dealer on this forum asked for my full name and email to sign up for a code but wouldn’t send it to me and instead said it was in the dealer’s system under my info. Smell funny…?

Sounds fishy indeed. Call out that dealer. We don’t like fish here.

@bennysee, maybe try responding to the salesperson who is trying to sell you a car? Or do you think that salesperson is working to pay the bills of Salesman X at another dealer?

I am still confused which brand you sell.

@Valentina I think you should specify that your offering an extra dealer discount of 1k instead of an OL code which from my understanding is not dealer specific.

Does anyone know if Crevier BMW in SoCal is offering an OL Code this Sat 29th? (vs an extra $1k dealer discount)

Lots of “fishing” going on in here by dealers reaching out and then offering non-LH worthy deals…

@BMW_Dave @GAngellBMW @Samson If a person’s info is in the system for an OL code, can you look up that person’s info for the code or does the person have to know the code to present to you?

To piggyback on that question, if the fine print stipulates that a code/promotion is for a specific region would the code still show up in the system at a dealer in a different region and fund when the deal is signed?

We have to have the code to look it up. A true OL Code should be valid at any dealership in that region.

No. If I try to validate an OL Code that is not valid in this region it just says “Code not found”.
