I'm talkin bout coffee

It really doesn’t get much easier than a K cup style coffee maker. Put the cup in and hit a button.

This is an espresso machine, so in short…no. The next time you go to a coffee shop and order a latte, watch what they do. It’s about 95% the same.

I’ve had my BES870XL for 6 years now and its been fantastic.

:joy:

The 6 mins is well worth it if you’re an espresso drinker.

No automatic machine is acceptable if you genuinely are an “espresso drinker”.

Espressos are nasty

define “automatic” so that those that don’t know can then know what they need to know.

The real debate is which is better

Dunkin or Starbucks

Which is better
  • Dunkin
  • Starbucks

A machine where the grinder and extractor are housed in the same unit.

Whoever voted for dunkin likes inconsistency or they never venture farther away than that 1 store. Dunkin is less reliable than an alfa romeo, maserati and a ford pinto’s love child to give you a similar cup that the store 3 blocks down the street.

I’m just too lazy. I’ve tried nespresso and the starbucks branded coffee machine but k cups are simply the most convenient

You must have a bad store lol.

For the 7-8 dollar Starbucks charges you can get much better coffee at local nyc shops

I’ve never had 2 Dunkins that made a drink that didn’t taste completely different lol. And agreed. But Dunkin isn’t much cheaper than Starbucks. DD is just as expensive now. For cheap coffee, Wawa is the best followed by royal farms.

I think that was more of an issue with machines from 5-10 years ago, especially with blade vs. burr grinders that had no ability to adjust the grind, laughable foaming and inconsistent pressures and temps.

I used to have a Keurig and replaced it with a Breville. Too much work and didn’t use it enough, but now it’s been pushed aside for a Spinn. Almost as easy as a Keurig but uses whole beans rather than cups and has more variety. I think I’m finally done buying new machines.

the key with dunkin is to get them to make you fresh coffee. their idea of “fresh” is something that was brewed up to 45 minutes ago, by their “standards”. in most stores with their wonderful employees, all they look at is if the light is on for the brewer. most of the time you’re getting old coffee.
