I have an audio stuttering/dropout issue when I use wireless carplay on my 2021 Chevy Camaro. My local Chevy dealer told me that wireless carplay will not work on my car. The window sticker says otherwise. He then told me it won’t work on any 2021 Camaro. He then told me it won’t work on any Chevy! Anyone…???
You may have it, but it doesn’t work. Having something and something working are two different things.
I had this occasionally on my LT1 and noticed if I kept my phone closer to the infotainment screen (which is a challenge in the Camaro given lack of any kind of phone cubby anywhere) it worked better.
So they listed wireless carplay on the window sticker but then they tell me it doesn’t work and that’s supposed to be okay?
What do you mean by dropout? It disconnects from your phone or what? Dropped calls?
I find it lags when I’m playing music from YouTube on my phone to when it shows up on the screen etc
I believe this is the first year in the Camaro that CarPlay has been wireless…
Wireless Android Auto and Carplay work fine in my 2021 Camaro. It uses wifi to communicate with your phone so make sure it is enabled on your phone.
It seems like there may be a service bulletin/software update coming to fix some issues.
Stuttering on navigation and phone calls. Not disconnecting, just dropouts but to the point that I cannot use it to make calls.
Buddy I’m not the Chevy Police.
Check your software version. If less than V152 refer them to this Service Bulletin and have them update it.
thanks will check shortly
this is what i found under build number information, and also tried updating and came back as most current version
Could be your phone as well. Not a Chevy but my phone is 3 generations behind and wireless android auto works like shit in my car to a point that I stopped using it and using just bt connection, but my wife’s current generation phone works like a champ.
I find that wireless CarPlay has a lag issue which is very little but if watching a video you can definitely notice the delay in sound vs what’s playing on the screen. I too have this issue in my Camaro and had it in my 19 330i. both wireless CarPlay compatible
Honestly just use the usb - the only place to store the phone is really in the arm rest anyways.
Need to hit the lower case I on the previous screen and see what V version you have according to the TSB
Mine has been working just fine. I do keep my phone to the right of the shift on the center console, though. No place else to put the damned thing.
I put my phone on the left and my shades on the right. Both have ended up in the back seat when having a little too much fun!!!
ALWAYS! lol.
