Would look at 24m and make an attempt at the calculator. missing information such as selling price before incentives, MF marked up? did you look at the 2x?-not sure which one but one of them offers a waiver on the first month payment as well.
Please do share when you decide to pull the trigger! Hoping to wait till closer to year end but not sure how much inventory will be left by then given 2026s year is about to come out!
There’s like 7000 of these in the country right now. Many are 2024.
The only issue is the ev credit will prob end after the summer. But even if that does I don’t think GM can sell these so they’re gonna have to do something.
I wouldn’t worry about it. These are lot rot. I have a feeling $600/mo is gonna be the norm soon just to dump them. right now that’s a solid deal but as the summer goes on…
Also I almost quit looking at these bc geico quoted me 260/mo insurance. Then I checked progressive and it was 133. So anyone shopping these def get multiple quotes. I’ve been bouncing back and forth between geico and progressive for years, they have no loyalty for customers.
Yay! (about the lot rot and better deals by EOY). Agreed that GMC will have to go deeper on discounts. Not sure how long they will continue to offer lease support for the 2024s though.
-Def agreed about the geico/progressive–no loyalty. I have changed house insurance almost every year and changed car insurances every 2 years. The bundle program has been crap for myself so just shop individually at this point.
I think these companies also rely on the average person not paying attention due to automatic payments/escrowing it all
I signed the deal and honestly the dealer had 9 3x and 2x 2024 CTUs when I started negotiating and 6 days later they were all sold. I only got one because someone didn’t pass a credit check and I was able to milk the last bit out of the deal.
I totally agree these are lot rot at MSRP or close. They are def not lot rot at these lease discounts under > $800/mo. People who own these cars love them and in Austin Texas there are a ton more on the roads since these rebates/discounts have been aggressive.
I have the specifics at home and will share but I ended at $698.26/mo on 109k 3x SUV with $0 down (1st month and all fees paid by dealer).
With 1st mont paid it makes the effective $678.86. I talked to about 75 small town dealers across the US and no one was able to replicate on a 3x SUV. I didn’t want to do a one pay bc I want the flexibility to get out without much issue. The payment is pretty low so I think it’ll probably lease transfer pretty easily if I want to move on after 2 years.
The people that were being quoted 1000/mo are jumping on 800/900mo now. Same will happen for the next group until this car finds its bottom. I think around 600-700 for 2x will be that sweet spot. People that drive EVs don’t typically want a hummer so there’s no real demographic for this car.
If you look at mmr on used ones we should be getting around 20k off the demos…that’s their market value currently. But incentives like tax credit in Texas and ev credits in some other states help those dealers lease them faster.
The Texas dealers I spoke to today don’t need to take 15k off bc they have tax credits now so they’re moving easily around 12k off
The pickup is much easier to hack that is for sure, learned that today and now considering one if I can’t find an suv by end of summer.
Def not the prototypical EV buyer’s choice. My wife and I are were looking for a 3rd car we both can share. Right now I am dailying a 488 - it has been a lot of fun but not ideal for every single use case of the day. Hummer EV brings a new buyer into the pool that wants something different but also some flash/utility for way cheaper than anything else on the market. My guess is the 3x deals in the high 6’s and 2x deals in the low 6’s will probably be the best we can do on the SUV. A lot of car for 3 years and ~24k.
Yeah I dunno how he got that. These dealers are prob getting flooded with calls now and think these are hot or something. I’ll wait until it cools down a bit. Best I was offered is
750/mo for a new 110k 3x suv. I’m not a good hackr I just get deals from people I know in the biz unfortunately none that sell gmc
