Who’s going to count? Which brings the suggestion of automated count that should be displayed in the first post.
Like google reviews?
Does anyone need an actual count?
Aren’t you going to want to read the reviews to see if it’s just a bunch of people with unrealistic expectations vs something real?
Any way @littleviolette decides to implement. Posters could have +/- option and totals can be calculated based on this flag.
Read what I replied to?
Probably zero, which ironically isn’t much less than the number of people who actually take our advice on here.
Nothing like seeing someone with 27 hours of read time post, “I got a quote” or “I got three quotes” after we specifically say don’t go to the dealer and whatever you do, don’t ask for a quote.
I get the dont ask for a quote bit, but we even if we propose our own lease deal we should go to a dealer right? By go to I mean email the lease proposal … How else would you do it?
Yes, we strongly recommend a well researched, aggressive but doable, immediately actionable deal emailed to dealers with either one of two formats 1) X Das / Y Monthly or 2) A detailed proposal with every variable including incentives, mf, rv, term listed out.
This topic has been discussed 100’s of times on here and various templates are available to use. I believe @delta737h has the most favored one available.
Who is the broker your highly concerned is going to scam you, steal your identity and not deliver on his / her advertised deal?
24 positive 0 negative, several have photos …but i also just noticed something I missed the first time around …
It has an :
“Unlisted on Dec 16, 2024”
“Listed on Dec 18, 2024”
Done by @littleviolette
Is that an issue or just them not paying their leasehackr fees?
Why not ask your broker directly?
i put in an application maybe a little late for that. …
Posters sometimes asks mods to take down ads if the cars are no longer available, need updating, or other reasons (stop sale, programs change, etc). It’s very common.
Users cannot use the broker/dealer tag if they don’t pay their dues.
Try googling Riley Martin shout outs.
Yes I can.
If you’re referring to your issue with a broker from ~2 wks ago, the fact that the exchange remains intact on that broker’s Marketplace review thread (even though at least one of your posts had been flagged for moderation) would rather strongly suggest that LH does not “protect” brokers.
To be more clear: the LH mods left your posts alone, even though we could have easily moved the posts to the off-topic thread. All can read your exchanges w/ the broker easily so that they draw their own conclusions.
If you’re worried about your interactions w/ a broker, would you like to send the mods a DM (including which broker this is) to elaborate on your concerns?
@paranoidgarliclover : a community moderator like you or someone else? How do i find the official moderators on here?
These answers and more can be found here using the SEARCH function. Get that puny read-time up ![]()

Respectfully, that is BS. I posted screenshots of texts which proved my allegations and was forced to take it down as a private communication but he illegally recorded my phone call (where I yelled at him for refusing to take my PII off yelp) and posted excerpts of the private convo and you wouldn’t take it down. That’s just hypocrisy. I get it, he pays and I don’t. Just don’t pretend the broker reviews here are impartial or candid. If anyone wants to look that particular broker up with the SOS, you can see he can’t even file his SOI correctly (think he figured it out this year) – why anyone would send him a SSN and a photo ID (esp after he doxxes people who give him bad reviews) is beyond me. But according to the way reviews are done here, he walks on water.
If you’re referring to the broker posting how you swore them out, I don’t see how allowing that to stand is any different than leaving the post in which you disclosed that the broker told you the car you wanted had been sold but that they could secure you another one for $70 more. You are allowed to criticize the broker, and the broker is allowed to respond.
I am not an attorney and cannot speak to illegal recordings, but I can’t help but think that the broker would be able to easliy recall that aspect of your interaction without any type of external and independently recorded assistance.
At any rate, I have nothing further to add to this conversation. Users who read this thread will determine for themselves whether LH operates in a manner that is sufficiently transparent for them.
That’s a very creative interpretation. Here is the policy posted verbatim from that thread.
*Forum Guidelines prohibit posting private messages without the other party’s consent."
Doesn’t say images, doesn’t say recordings. Will spare you posting Webster’s definition of messages, I think you can look that up yourself.
- What is the typical step by step process here?
- How long does it take before you typically sign the lease and get your car, assuming you are local and can pick up the car immediately?
- Do you apply through broker website? And is it ok to hand our SSN to do a credit check and application to broker website? or how does that happen?
- How is broker fees paid? Via CC to the named broker? What is the payment name goes to an individual? Is that ok?
- What about things like shipping assuming we need to shop?
- After I sign a lease deal how do I verify it is real before paying DAS?
- How is DAS paid? I should know the dealer by now so I should pay directly to the dealer right?
- What else should I lookout for?
