A huge round of applause to our new cohort of @trusted_hackrs who have elevated our community with their exceptional knowledge and help over the past year!
Among our Trusted Hackrs, a special welcome to our first cohort of @community_moderators who have graciously volunteered their time to help keep our forum vibrant, informative, and supportive.
As part of our ongoing commitment to improve our user experience, we are renewing our moderation approach.
We believe that moderation isn’t just the job of moderators, but a shared commitment. Everyone is encouraged to flag posts that do not align with our updated Community Standards, Moderation Guidelines, and Marketplace Guidelines. The weight of your flag is based on the historic acceptance of your flags (i.e., how many flags our moderators have accepted or rejected) and your trust level. When a post receives flags over a certain weight, it would be automatically hidden.
A great community isn’t created by a few, but sustained by many. We hope that our new moderation approach empowers every member to be an active guardian of our collective space where everyone can learn and contribute meaningfully.
I too only found out about it a few weeks ago after coming across a reference to it in the TH lounge…that knowledge would have saved me some time spent searching by name.
@littleviolette any reason @delta737h wasn’t nominated? For all of the shitposting that happens here, Delta is consistently one of the most helpful members on the site
