We have sport 1’s available in NorCal
Found this loaner for 3k down and 480 a month. 500 miles on it. I got a fully loaded sport 2 loaner already.
will post it on Friday after I pickup the car.
Hi, I’ve been told by 2 dealers that the 7500 tax credit is not available for leases, but said that the tax credit is build into the residuals. I called their bluffs but they won’t budge. Is that with Cadillac only or are they pulling my leg?
Its true. Thats how you are getting high residuals. GMF is bumping the residuals and not offering the rebate as a credit for lease.
Does this vary state by state? I had two illinois dealers tell me the same but an indiana dealer did it the “old fashioned” way
What bank were they using?
I think it’s applicable everywhere; most salespeople don’t know. The best way to determine if it’s included or not is by checking the residual value (RV). If the RV is close to 80% for a 2-year lease, then assume $7,500 is included in the RV.
Thank you and I think that’s not fully transparent and not a smart marketing scheme. But what do I know besides most OEM’s are deducting straight as a rebate. Are there any other OEM doing that?
I agree that most salespeople don’t know or understand how the 7500 tax credit works, and they simply quote their manager.
Thanks for posting this one, and I contacted them, they are only discounting $1500 off MSRP and won’t budge.
You really shouldn’t be talking numbers with a dealer anyway without knowing what they should be first. If you find yourself unsure how the incentives are applied on a deal, it means you went into the negotiations unprepared and set yourself up for failure.
Step back, establish a target deal, and make offers rather than asking dealers how much they want you to pay.
Assuming you’re replying back to my posts, and totally agree with you as that’s how I’ve been leasing cars for a while.
When leasing the lyriqs, the 7500 tax rebate is used to inflate the residual but for a purchase it is used as a cap cost reduction. Rebates for lyrics are conquest, costco and supplier. There are additional rebates (up to 4k) for cars built a while back and those are vin specific. There is an addition rebate for loaners (2500). Right now is probably the best time to shop since it is end of month and end of quarter.
Try Delaware Cadillac. They were amazing with me last week.
what was your deal?
Just DM’d you. Thanks.
Can you share your deal sheet with me as well? I’m also in NY, which dealer did you go to?
just a community note Serra Cadillac in Clarksville, the hail damage cars are not lease eligible
Sick deal for people in flyover country if they can get close to replicating yours.
Cost of shipping to the coasts might be cost-prohibitive but people will have to run the math. Good looking out!
