36 fires??? Glad I grounded that one. So it only needs an engine rebuild, new HV battery, and software rebuild to be safe. The new bolt on crack.

This happened to Toyota too recently. They sandblast the engine blocks and wellâŚ. Whoops!
My wife canât park her GC 4xE at the office anymore because itâs a garage - theyâve put up signs and are actively patrolling. Super. Canât charge, canât park, and now the engine might implode.

Thereâs always some residual charge at the battery⌠it could be enough to cause some damage.
The best part is that the battery charges when the engine is on even if you donât want it to.
Iâm pretty over the 4xe experience at this point. Might need to go older vehicle to get one that wonât be trying to actively kill my family.
Yeah I agree, returning my last 4xe in April. 2nd year in a row with the fire risk recalls, fed up with this nonsense.
Has anyone had success in substitution of collateral like the Chevy Bolt with Jeep 4xe?
Mine has the sand in engine potential issue as well. Worst of both electric and gas!

Iâve started opening a case with Stellantis but we havenât approached the topic yet.
My 4xe was in for the recall and failed so 1-2 month wait for a battery with only 4 months left on the lease. Seems like based on the Facebook group polls about a third are failing the test.
