HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 4)

Yes, it still applies

No one is going to try to back calculate the lease there to try to figure out what that deal is, especially when you’re missing tons of critical information.

Put together a target deal for your situation and compare it to those numbers. Everything else is a waste of time.

I clearly don’t understand what you are saying. I am new to leases.

I would think if someone recently got a better monthly payment with a similar spec wrangler it’s worth going in on.

Here more info
MSRP - $62,200
Dealer discount - $6245
Rebates - $10500
Price - $45495
Fees $1830

Looks like a decent deal if it’s local and a spec you like.
Do you have $1,000 TDM coupon?

Comparing monthly payments is useless. You didn’t state what trim you’re looking at, what your zip code is, or what incentives you qualify for. Those data inputs make a gigantic difference in lease price. If you qualify for a ton of incentives, live in an area with no lease tax, and are looking at a trim with the best programs, you couls be overpaying by thousands. If you dont qualify for any incentives, live somewhere with really high taxes, and are looking at a trim with the worst programs, this could be the best deal there ever was.

What you unintentionally asked was for people to back calculate the lease for you, without critical details required to accurately do so, so that they can normalize the payment to extract the pre-incentive discount in order to properly evaluate the deal against comparable deals.

I don’t have TDM coupon, what is that ?

@amitmotiani here’s a tip for you- spend a fair amount of time searching this forum for info before asking basic questions. Best way to learn when you’re new to leasing. You’ll get better traction from the hackers.

So it’s been confirmed that loyalty applies when going from a CCAP to SFS. Does anybody know if the disposition fee would be waived as well? My gf turned in her '22 Wrangler 4xe and leased a '24 GC 4xe through SFS and was charged $395.

Unfortunately disposition applies when going from CCAP to SFS.

That’s bad business but thanks for the clarification.

Theyre two totally different banks. Ccap is only affiliated with Chrysler in that it’s Santander (everyone’s favorite subprime bank) licensing Chrysler’s name as a DBA. Why would they waive the fee for someone going and doing a new lease with a different company?

Because at the end of the day CCAP and SFS are representing the same brand. I’m doing business with Jeep and kept loyalty to Jeep. I understand what you’re saying but to the layman that is very confusing. Maybe Chrysler shouldn’t have 2 different lenders for their products. I could see if it was an Ally lease or something like that. But both these companies come under the Chrysler umbrella therefore the fee should not be charged.

They’re phasing ccap out, but it is exactly the same thing as going from ccap to ally, us bank, etc.

For anyone who is interested in possibly keeping a 4xe they leased or maybe even selling one… I’m pretty confident that at the very least Chrysler Capital is offering dealers some kind of cut rate on returning leases. My 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe had a customer buyout of just about $40,000 even I believe. I was pretty sure that it was around $10,000 underwater. The dealer I grounded it at has it for sale now for $36,000. I know dealers don’t pay tax on buyouts but that doesn’t explain how they would be able to buy the car and list it for that price.

I knew I should have just asked you :joy: So if the dealer took title does that mean I’m going to pay a disposition fee? I’m guessing any excess wear would not be charged since they never got it back. That’s how I’m reading it at least.

Hard to say without knowing how they processed the buyout or grounding.

How does this effect someone who may be interested in possibly keeping a 4xe they leased?

I was thinking of it from the perspective of someone who could work something out with a dealer maybe? If they can buy it a lot cheaper maybe they would be willing to pass some of that onto a customer, maybe not. I was just surprised to see that they were able to get it for what appears to be a lot less.
