HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 4)

Looks about right with Hard Top, Convenience,Tech, and maybe some small stuff. The prices on the Build and Price are baking in a $7500 incentive for some reason. .

Anyone else having luck on 4XE leases? I’m not getting any luck with dealers budging on MSRP… I guess I’ll wait to see what is in store for end of October or Early Nov. Every time I call a dealer that has a $21k discount, they say it’s actually $14k discount and the 36m lease numbers are closer to $700 vs $500.

CDJR dealers have been the worse. Surprised they even agree to $14k discount, my experience was a $21k discount results in $4k off.

There’s no reason a bone stock wrangler with cloth manual seats should be $700/mo. Don’t care what the MSRP is.

There is currently around $7-9k in purchase only incentives availablr, so when you talk about leasing, that goes out the window.

As usual, looking at a dealer’s listed price is pointless. Determine what this should cost and make an offer. The prices they list are irrelevant to the discussion.

This is good advice. Thanks!

Same experience here… LMK if you find a dealer willing to work with us! Located in Twin Cities

Stellantis is going to be sweating to sell these 2024s in Nov and December… in the exact spec and color I am looking for there are 443 nationwide. This same time last month there were 446.

Seems like everyone is under the battery recall unless you got a new one.

Everyone parking outside and not charging until there’s a fix? Seems like no fix but earlier they said it was a software flash.

Most everything made before November of last year is under the recall (really it is any battery pack made before April of last year). There’s a software update that’s due out ā€œimminentlyā€ for it.

Unfortunately a two 4xe household here. looking forward to giving back the GC in March but still love the wrangler.

I just received a mailer the other day. Basically your Jeep may combust but we have no solution.

Can we lemon or ask for buyback for this battery issue?

I struggle with this. We haven’t had doors or the top on in six months and don’t like the idea of parking outside. Plus - the chargers are in the garage, and the point is to drive it in the silent electric mode.

On the flip side, my daughters room is above the garage, and although a teenager, don’t want death by fire

Have five months left and may need tires. Debating with the wife atm.

Nope. Because you can drive it, just with gas.

Yeah I think we’re going to keep our GC outside and give that spot for our BZ4X and just not charge them in the garage. Electricity is expensive where we are so it’s just as cheap to drive on gas, though annoying.

ā€œAffected vehicles include model-year 2020-24 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited 4xes and model-year 2022-24 Grand Cherokee 4xes. A routine data review revealed 13 reported fires, and Jeep estimates that 5% of affected vehicles may have the defect. All vehicles were parked and off when the fires occurred. Jeep says the risk of fire is reduced when the battery is depleted, so it’s advising owners to refrain from recharging and to park away from structures and other vehicles until the remedy is performed.ā€

I’ve been driving EV’s for 5 years now and as soon as the garage fire stories started I bought a heat detector for our garage. We too have our garage in our basement with living space above. They are not pricey and give some peace of mind.

There is an argument to be made the battery fire recall is causing owners to lose money, since they are told not to charge the vehicle. Also the inconvenience of being told to park away from structures and other vehicles. At times that is impossible. I definitely see a class action lawsuit coming at some point.

There are several owners that have gotten approved for a rental car allowance, as they can’t comply with their safety regulations. Having to use parking garages for work.

If you parked, garaged, and charged the Jeep inside the house for years; a letter shouldn’t change anything. It’s more lawyers covering Stellantis’ ass in my opinion. The risk is less than a lot of other things; namely just driving.

However, anyone is free to fear as much as they desire.

Fearmonger much :joy:

Literally the opposite of what I wrote. Esl?
