HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 3)

Hope you have good luck getting your High Altitude built quickly. Today I took delivery of a 2022 High Altitude ordered 1/4/22. There seems to be quite a bunch us with similar experiences.

That said they are a few here that got theirs delivered in a more reasonable time.

How about 2022 Sahara 4xe at 94040

Just got delivery 2 weeks ago and have a few questions…got the Sahara 4xe w black hard top and cold weather package, msrp was around 59k. Got 10 % off and 7500, from Koons.

Questions are:
-called ccap and they said buyout today is 54k. After 36 months it will be 36k. Isn’t the car supposed to be at around 48k to buy out because of the incentives?

  • I checked with a couple of websites and got quoted 48k to sell the car today (vroom and rodo). Isn’t it supposed to be much higher ?

-ordered car on May 31, car arrived at Koons July 5th. They sent me papers to sign a week later which I FedEx’d back right away and took them two weeks to get thru finance and was finally done and ready to be picked up July 30th. I got a letter today that lease started July 5th. Is that how it’s done ? Or it should have stated july 30 when I picked up?

Buyout probably includes sales tax. What was the adjusted cap cost on your contract?

Vroom doesnt buy leases and rodo is a crapshoot. Youre better off getting quotes from local dealers these days.

At 59k msrp buyout should be around 47k-48k.
They can email you the buyout and that shows exactly what they charging. Might be the sales tax they added thinking you buying yourself.

Check with few local dealers and try Carmax, Carvana and Autonation just to get an idea where they stand. I think you should get atleast 52k or more.

Got it, yes it’s 49 plus tax.

Flippers, do you think we should hold our 4xe till next January and flip? Most 4xe buyers won’t qualify $7500 tax credit then, and slightly used 4xe may be $7500 more expensive.

If you’re in Florida or Georgia, I suggest getting a value with Autobuy. They have a straightforward process: submit vehicle and contact info, scheduler calls to follow up and sends link to upload photos, buyer calls at scheduled time to discuss value, will attempt to beat best offers. I dropped my vehicle at local Manheim and check was overnighted.

Enough to justify insurance and other costs over that time? Doubtful. You’ll have a wave of 23s to compete with and people can still buy these and get the tax credit next year.

Income limits take affect next year and also questions on battery portion - or I could be mistaken. Might lessen the amount of discounts and the volume of discounts.

Yeah it could be less but even if it’s half I just don’t see that as enough reason to hold for flip reasons. Normalizing supply, competing models, higher interest rate potential… Now if you’re driving it and like it well sure that’s a reason to not sell. But not to just sit in the driveway.

Jeep dealers have been the best sources of buyouts lately but as soon as they have inventory to sell on their lots of new ones they aren’t going to overpay for your used one.

How about regarding this ?

It starts on the date that is specified on the contract, if you’re curious about your payoff post your contract with your personal info blocked out

It did say July 5th on contract but they took their time to give me the car so almost a month passed. Anything I can do ?

It’s the same month so the numbers didn’t change technically.

Makes no difference unless you plan to ride your lease out to the end which you would need to return the vehicle by July 4/5 instead of the July 29/30.

It’s been mentioned here already, Koons will not release the car until it’s funded

Absolutely crazy to me that some dealers are still mailing docs out snail mail. When I bought my last Grand Cherokee I did the entire thing online and it showed up on a truck next day even though I was like 5 miles away. Docusign for the win

Guys & Gals, the day has finally arrived! Just wanted some advice on the “extras” when initiating my lease. I’m doing a 15K/36 mo One Pay lease and not sure if these “packages” are worth it or are they just upsells? The MVP Care Plan is supposed to cover the additional 9K miles for Bumper To Bumper coverage from the traditional 30K/36 mo warranty (since my miles are 45K). I am planning on keeping the Jeep up until lease end. Also take a peek at my lease and see whatcha think. It comes out almost exactly to my LH calculator. I’m in FL (tax 6.5%) Thoughts/suggestions? THANKS!
