I’ll join in the misery.
My ‘22 Sahara was ordered 4/30, built 6/30, and has been waiting for transport to the Dealer.
While lucky that it’s built, transport is yet another challenge to contend with. ![]()

Price Check -
MSRP: $56455
Dealer A :
Needs Shipping ~ $1000 ~ 900 miles
Doc Fees: $500
11% off MSRP with Affiliate: $50244.95
Dealer B:
Local
Doc Fees: $1000
6% under invoice with affiliate: $52116 ~7.6% off
About $2372 more expensive to go local to possibly save $1k in shipping. And dealer B has a non-refundable deposit.
I’d go with a A, unless you don’t want to deal with shipping. In what region do you live?
Edit: it looks like you live in FL. Consider taking the autotrain to save $500-600 on shipping. Expenses would be plane ticket to BWI, uber/lyft, food/drink, autotrain ticket, and gas to Lorton, from Sanford.
If your flipping
Go with the refundable deposit
Numbers been going down
Unless you don’t care about $1000
Did you get your order in on time for A?
Misery loves company.
Yup - I was completing his paperwork when the local dealer called back. Looks like I’m going with A for now.
Would have definitely taken that approach except I have an infant now. Good plan layout though - much appreciated.
Who you have in mind for refundable deposit.
Can you IM me dealer A since no deposit or refundable deposit.
Orisman but they stopped yesterday
Parish but they mark up the Mf
Mall of Georgia if you can pick up in person
order from both Ourisman and Gupton
anyone knows if Koons still have problem doing one-pay on their lease options?
I doubt it
And no sign and drive AVOID THEM
Isn’t sign and drive easily fixed with a small amount down? From what it sounds like it’s only their software so by the time an order arrives it’s probably fixed. Now that Mitch is done at 11% they might be back to the best deal out there at 10% with a deposit/broker fee.
The whole purpose of doing the sign and drive is to trigger the ccap first payment incentive to artificially lower your adjusted cap cost for flipping purposes.
Ourisman also marks up MF, the deposit is refundable upon selling the vehicle after the buyer canceled, etc.
Oh good to know. I know it affected the money factor negatively so I thought it wasn’t worth doing.
which dealership is Mitch?
