HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 3)

Right, I didn’t pay anything, got a nice check, and drove a Rubicon for 2 weeks. My insurance company didn’t even require me to add it since I have up to 30 days to do it.

Technically some of my $7,500 federal tax credit went towards the payment at signing, so technically not sign and drive. That would’ve increased my money factor even more.

Correct. Daniel was surprised too. The best thing is I already had a planned trip to Nashville to visit friends on the 15th.

Can we perhaps just post which Broker and where the dealer was located (south, north east, etc.)
That way those of us who are working the broker/dealer know and no information gets revealed.

Sure if a hacker/mod recommends this I can. I’ll pm them what I was told first so I follow the correct channels this time.

what broker is near nashville. wife wanted to take a trip there might as well make it worth it.

I have also ordered my Jeep and now waiting. ordered about 2 months back. Question, if you are leasing it, are you able to sell it before your term ends or are there any restrictions? Do I have to sell it to a Jeep dealer ? Heard people are actually making some money just flipping it in a month or so. Thx

I moved your post here so you can find the answers above.

It depends on the bank you lease through. Ccap allows you to sell it to 3rd party banks. Thats who we all are using.

@mllcb42 might appreciate this, every time I looked at the HA rims, increasingly just didn’t get it. Switched them out with 22 Sahara same mileage and sold the 22 with HA rims on it. Worst part is no tire shop wanted to suck up 2 bays to do it so I swapped them out myself with 2 crappy jacks, in the rain. Didn’t have enough room in the garage either.

How did you handle the sensors for the TPMS? Did they have to be reprogrammed.

I didn’t touch the one I sold, dealer can do whatever they need to. I haven’t even opened the door on the HA yet but I guess I’ll need to reset.

Not sure if posted somewhere but what would GMTV need to buy my wrangler leased via ccap? Just wanted to be ready or understand the process. Please feel free to move of in the wrong thread.

For those in California who bought out of state, what was the DMV registration process? Did you need a smog check cert and just drive up to a VIN check spot at the DMV?

You guys are hilarious . You’re signing on these and just letting them sit in the driveway until you sell?

Atleast enjoy them and drive for a few weeks lol

Yes, SMOG is needed to register in CA from out of state purchase… about $50-$60 and 5 mins at smog test, easy money for them haha

I put 450 miles on mine in a week and a half

Depending on your dealer, they may send all the DMV paperwork to your local DMV office, so ask if the title clerk at the dealer did this. In the meantime, get it smogged. One thing to note, my 4xe failed smog the first time. I think it was because I was driving it in full electric mode for about 2-3 weeks. All that time, the gas tank was full. I basically had to drive it in hybrid mode till I reached about 1/4 tank. I forgot exactly what emmissions test it failed, but I kept checking it with my OBDII checker till it finally showed Pass. After smog, go to the VIN inspection line. I went into DMV about 8am and found the lines were shorter. Only waited about 5 mins for my number to get called. Got plates the same day. Hope this helps!
