I’m ordering today. For resale what’s everyone’s opinion on either going with the HA or Rubi? I’m fine with waiting on the HA but a part of me has always wanted a rubicon too. Does the lower RV make the rubicon not worth it?
I wouldn’t order an HA to flip. They seem to take significantly longer to come in, etc, so you never know when it’s going to actually show up. More time for the market to move. Rubicons show a higher MRM at auction lately, but they’re also easier to get the price point up sky high.
Honestly… order which ever one makes you happy to drive around in. If part of you has always wanted a rubicon, order a rubicon to play with for a bit.
I was just going to say something similar. If you are ordering with any expectation of a flip in mind, I would definitely avoid the HA. That is one to order if you simply want it for yourself.
I can’t fully remember and trying to scroll through thousands of posts is hard on my iPhone. Not sure if you know but is the RV a 2% swing on the rubicon?
RV on the rubicon is currently +3% for 24 and 27, +2% for 36, and +1% for longer vs the sahara/HA
Used to be reversed
Yeah…the Rube makes more “cents” now than it used to. I think if someone wants the Rubicon look (and can perhaps keep their MSRP down a bit…its very easy to get a Rube into the 70’s) they make a convincing case.
If I was going Rube though, Id go full on all options and the heck with the resale. Enjoy the thing the way you want it.
If I’m going to spend $75k+ on a rubicon, it’s going to be a 392.
But with the 4xe, the $75k Rub is only $67,500 before discount…and Gawd the leasing program is so much better.
But yeah…the 392 has an appeal.
If HA is similar in price point to a Rubicon wouldn’t it get a slight bump due to less of them out there? Even with MH showing Rubicon selling slightly better I think the HA’s are far less, but maybe less demand as well.
Or is it because HA is basically an expensive Sahara and takes a long time to get built?
You guys are making it hard to not want the rubicon now. It’s a guessing game where the RV and MF will be though so I guess it’s a crap shoot
The HA is also somewhat of a polarizing product. The diehard jeep guys are not a fan. Apparently if you paint the bumpers, the world comes to an end.
The biggest issue with the HA for a flip is the unknown time frame. They don’t seem to prioritize making them, so the lead time is a gigantic unknown. Higher risk for little/no reward. If the HA features are worthwhile to you as a driver, then by all means, get one for you. If you’re looking to flip, it just doesn’t make sense.
Nooooooooo doubt on this. I would actually be scared to admit having an HA on JLForums
I wanted one to keep for 3-6 months so went HA and got lucky with a quick 35ish day build time and will be to me around 55 days from date of order.
Going to order another once we get to January and have some answers on credits and residuals. It will likely be a Rubicon, also hoping for some limited colors to come back.
Still waiting for you to post your tire idea over there
I would also say…if this is a flip approach, theres no real evidence that the HA makes any more sense (cents) than the Sahara or Rubi. But, it adds a potential monkey wrench into the works with no demonstrated financial return.
Trying to build up my courage…not sure Ill ever have enough enough to post this though…
"she hit the floor…and shawteee got low low low loooooow"
You sir just received a lifetime ban on JLforums for even posting that photo😁.
If it were actually your vehicle, they will track your IP down, locate your physical address, perform an intervention, repossess the vehicle, and restore it to its preferred 6 inch lift configuration.
