Adjusted cap cost…I hope?

Was that before or after the Facetime call? If it was before, it was only an estimate. They gave me an estimate for the exact same amount and after the Facetime call reduced it to $46k. My MSRP was similar and here were my offers.

Carmax - $49k
Vroom - $47k
ALGO - $46k

I didn’t FaceTime them because I have read similar stories to yours so I am just a gonna go with vroom

I really wish Carvana was an option, but they don’t seem to have the 4XE in their system yet.

Honestly, the specific terms throw me, but obviously we are talking about the total amount financed.

Thanks @Qbrozen @Leasefan fan that makes sense to me now! Bring with Skytouch and High altitude! Never thought that this would be an issue when I ordered. I would have order Sahara with hard top instead.

I just sold my first and ordered my 2nd from the same dealer June 8th. We will see what they say but so far everything is good to go.

Can you share details on the sale? What was your build and what quotes were you seeing? Thanks.

In addition to the above: how long between taking possession and selling?

I don’t have my contract in front of me but my MSRP was around 53k got it for 48.5k. Vroom offered 47k about a week ago and auto lenders offered 47.5k. I didn’t have my registration yet so I just let them expire. After I got my registration vroom offered 48.5k. Auto lenders said they wouldn’t up their offer. Later that day auto lenders called and offered 49k. I signed the paperwork last Wednesday and they are scheduled to come pickup the 4XE tomorrow. The truck driver called me the next day and asked if he could come get it Friday but I was out of town. If it really goes this fast I’ll be impressed. I’ve read about vroom taking forever. I’ll make almost exactly 8k

I got it April 24th. Should be picked up and have the check in hand tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Congrats on a nice deal!

Congrats on the sale. Were you able to get the same deal on your second one? If not, what was the difference in total cost of lease?

Do you need the registration in order to sell the car.I still have the temporary dealer tags

Vroom does in fact take forever. My experience with selling my truck to Vroom has been absolutely awful. Started the process on May 12, they picked up my truck on June 17. Still waiting to get paid.

When I was working with auto lenders the first time they said they could lock in a price for me and have the contract ready to go but would have to wait for the registration to come in.

That’s why I considered taking less money from auto lenders. But they seem willing to negotiate. So it was just a bonus they came in higher.

Similar in terms of % off yes. The monthly payments and stuff we will wait and see what July’s numbers are. They did put in writing to use base MF.

Looking for some guidance here…if I want to own the car, what’s the downside of leasing and then buying it out after a couple of months as compared to purchasing it from the onset?

Feels like the former option makes more sense as the $7500 is recognized immediately, but maybe I’m missing something
