HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 1)

,

On my 530e, light press on “gas pedal” to get to the stoplight (without driving others behind me nuts) still shows its regenerating.

I’m thinking of joining the 4xe train and leaving the BMW (that I now drive like a lobotomized potato). Maybe I’ll have more fun.

Dealer uses central dispatch. Dealer said the avg was around $850-$950, so I put it up for $850 from LA to NJ.

Waited two days and raised it to $900. Got a call that day that the bid was accepted and the car will be picked up this Friday and delivered by next Mon/Tues.

Almost there!

I used central dispatch through the dealer. Offered $750 and it got accepted within a few hours, LA to NJ. Picked up on a Friday, in NJ by Sunday night and delivered Wednesday.

My old BMW 330e used coasting and braking i believe. I used to watch the little charge indicator pop up everytime i let off the gas or braked.

I went from a 2018 BMW 330e to a 4xe. It is indeed quite a bit more fun  Don’t get me wrong, i loved my BMW, but there’s something to be said for just opening up the sky one touch, rolling down the windows, and belting out Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Know” while cruising around town

And with over 2x the electric range, i almost never use gas anymore. With my 330e, anything longer than a short 11mi jaunt would empty my battery. I regularly get 25mi full electric in the Jeep, which covers about 99% of my driving.

If it’s charging while off the accelerator but not on the brake, it isn’t coasting, you’re actively regenerating.

Also used LA dealer with Central Dispatch for shipping to NJ. My bid was $750 and they picked it up yesterday.

For those who went through clutch south dealer, how long did it take until you got your registration (know it also varies by state)? Reached out to title clerk they said up to 60 days but that seems excessive…

That may be about right. My first one took about that long, and the second one is shaping up about the same. I think the DMV is running a bit behind.

Anyone here have come across any good 4Xe deals in IL or can point me to the right direction, all the vehicles in my area are asking for full price, no one is willing to give % off msrp.

I think 60 days is a worst case scenario, given that temporary plates expire after 60 days I think? Every car I’ve had in the past has probably been around 4 weeks to receive registration in CA. Hopefully that remains true.

Try Bettenhausen CDJR in Tinley Park. May or may not work.

Almost everyone on this thread is shipping them in from either Gupton in TN, Mall of Georgia outside Atlanta or utilizing the broker services of @AutoCompanion or @Clutch and their respective dealers in the MD / DC area or the Louisiana based dealer. Point being that very few dealers are willing to negotiate on these vehicles.

Go through one of the brokers and have it shipped. Will probably be cheaper than most dealers even after shipping

Did RV change for October for Sahara? The document shows 63%, but dealer is saying it dropped one point? Can someone confirm? This is for 36/10k

60% below + 3% (low mileage) = 63%

I don’t believe it dropped at all.
