Chatted with folks from both Stohlman and Linsay over the phone. Might be able to work something out.

The Tiguan is actually for someone in Nashville, but there are like two VW dealers there, and they want $375/month and $1,500 drive-off. So I figured I’d extend my search radius and try NoVa. No one wants to ship, though – it’s a fly in, drive home sort of deal, which is risky without having anything in writing.

Try fitzmall.com also. They are usually easy to deal with and include freight in their online pricing. I see about 10% off (without their added 1.5k finance cash).

But once they have your email in the database they start sending the robo-emails that ask you questions but that (apparently) nobody reads your responses to.

I had this one Audi dealer never respond to my initial query but then sent me like 20 subsequent emails asking if I was satisfied and got what I needed.
