You will have to try really really hard to make that happen
The difference between a car that traps around 105 and one that is around 120 is too dramatic.
The CTR isnât about drag racing, itâs not a foxbody mustang
truthfully my tuned Accord could dust it but the CTR feels 5x faster.
I agree! That was a fantastic engine and a great overall car. Mine had the manual transâŚa fun driver. A few small mods (intake and downpipe) and it was a lively daily driver. ButâŚI absolutely SHUDDER at my lease payment on it! I think it was ~$325. OUCH!!!
Was it the 02/03 with xenon headlamps that were high risk of being stolen ?
TrueâŚtheres alot more to a car than straight line speed. But there has to be enough of it to make the car âbelievableâ.
In other words, IMO the aesthetics cant write checks that the engine cant cash.
I sound like a hater, Iâm not reallyâŚId drive oneđ. But at $600/mo Id drive something else.
Dont laughâŚbut there may not be a more fun to drive hot hatch than one of these.
I miss mine. Was a blast. The Omni, I have no cares for the CTR. Donât like the boy racer look.
For about a decade, I was heavily into the turbo Dodges. These cars were so unbelievable in bang for the buck. Sooooo easily tunable.
Sup guy! Fairy new member here. I was interested in the type R last year, but the best I got was $5k over msrp. So I gave up. Once you factored in the fees, taxes and markup, I canât convince myself to pay about $50,000 for a civic.
Whats a good 36/10 lease with only 1st das for for a type R in socal? Is it still in the 800-1000 range like hondasocal mentioned?
ohhhh baby! Can only do 12k or 15k in this region. Message me your zip code and if you want to put anything down - I will give you what it looks like with a lease at MSRP.
Edit: I wonât sell it to you at that price though. This thing has unlimited blinker fluid in it so it costs more.
YesâŚa friend of mine bought one a few months ago at MSRP.
Sounds reasonable enoughâŚexcept that he paid MSRP for a 2017 with 10,000 miles!
Yup, eating up space and money. They got greedy and misjudged the market and now are stuck with the car.
Itâs okay, only 72 other people have dumped the clutch on it during test drives.
sigh I would consider the car used if I didnât think it was beat to all hell by people who donât know how to drive. Iâd either have to buy it new, or not at all. Iâm leaning towards not at all.
Ford reliability has been pretty bad lately as well.
You can keep the blinker fluid, muffler bearings, phantom footprints, and ultra rare Japanese ceramic tint.
My neighbor has one. I used to go to him for finance advice but not anymore.
Well duh, Honda has high demand and is known for great reliability and high resale value. More demand = higher prices.
Mostly true, but whereâs the passion?
