What’s weird is a I just did a similar deal for $159 a month, but on the lease paper work where is says “Monthly, sales, use or lease tax” it says NA. When o asked the finance guy about it he said nissan doesn’t collect taxes on leases currently. I have never heard of this, and definitely pay taxes on my other two leases. What’s the chances I am going to get a tax bill from nissan?

How does MO tax leases?
There are at least three different ways leases can be taxed
- On the monthly payment
- Upfront on the lease cost
- Upfront on the selling price
Every lease I have done missouri taxes on monthly payment. Which is why I am concerned it not showing on my lease agreement
Also nissan financial has not been a big help
Do you have a tax credit from MO? Those can be applied towards leases I believe.
I have also been taxed on monthly payments in MO.
It looks like Missouri doesn’t have sales tax on leases, it has personal property tax. I would expect an annual personal property tax bill for the lease.
And the parts of the contract that itemize the DAS and the adjusted cap cost?
