Hello, looking to lease GLE350 from dealership in NJ area (I’m located in MA)

I found 2 cars that fit my requirement - 1 dealership is from NJ & other from PA. Need help with closing lease offer. Below are the initial offers. what should be the counter offer?

Car #1 - MSRP - 73,610 (discount - 1750)
lease
48 mo / 10k miles / 1120 per mo w/ 5k down (residual 47% 34597)
36 mo / 10k miles / 1189 per mo w/ 5k down (residual 57% 41958)

finance 7.29% APR

Car#2 MSRP - 71490
lease
36 mo / 10k miles / 1489 per mo w/ 3300 down (residual 40,749)
48 mo / 10k miles / 1350 per mo w/ 3165 down (residual 33600)

finance 6.49% APR

Any feedback is most appreciated!!!

Is your requirement only a GLE350? Or, are competitive cars in the running?

I ask as these leases are not attractive.

Or finance one with a better APR.

Anything other than what has been presented, LOL

GLE350 is 1st pref, QX60 is 2nd

Those leases are atrocious. You could negotiate a lot there and it would still be very unattractive.

My advice to anyone questioning a lease like that; hire a broker.

Yeah all these people who don’t know how a lease calcs or works wont pay a 500 broker fee or whatever but will pay a few hundred bucks a month more on their own deal. Lol

Not sure what you are suggesting? I dont hav a preference of not to use broker services.

This was the dealers 1st offer and so posted it to look for suggestions.

This is my 1st post here and I’ve searched thru the forum for GLE350 post and there aren’t that many.

Have you posted a calculator link to show you have thought a little about what you are trying to do? Played with the negotiable variables to know where payment should be? You should know more than dealer about the numbers.

The GLE was a big hit for Mercedes even before the car market went crazy with inventory issues. They’ve never had a need to incentivize these leases.

Get your own financing and ask them to match the APR.

This old fart of a woman (typical NJ milf) pulled up next to me at the gym parking lot in a brand new 2023 GLE 350 in Pearl white with those 21” rims. Must’ve had an AMG package. Man was that thing beautiful .

All I kept thinking was god knows what she’s paying to lease that thing :ok_man:

OP, it’s a nice truck but get ready to get bent over to lease that thing .

Looks like a big markup on MF since Tier A1 = .00270 MF

Full MSDs can lower rate over 1.5% too.

Have you shopped Springfield? They have a sister store in NY and are aggressive.

How does this work? I pay full MSD and get rate lowered and refunded at the end of the lease? What if I need to buyout at the end of lease?
