I’ll have to politely disagree. I’m sure if you call every single dealership in the country for a mass market unloved style car, you can beat the brokers here. It’ll probably be a dealership in east tumbleweed, oklahoma that has a 800 day unit… You’ll basically make $3 an hour but to some of these cheapskates, its worth it!
We can rest assured knowing you charge exorbitant broker fees for mediocre deals. Props to you for using TikTok to find a bunch of stupid customers though, you pound them worse than the dealers do
From the info posted on their website, it seems they offer a range of services.
What is your realistic budget? If you go the EV route, do you have access to charging near you?
If you believe you are seeing deceptive advertising practices by any broker in the Marketplace, feel free to bring it up. Brokers and dealers that advertise on this site have to abide by certain guidelines (I will find and post the link shortly).
I never heard of them until today. However to be fair, I am on the East Coast.
I believe pricing starts at $500 and up to $2500, based on the services being offered.
I can recall seeing one-off deals on this site with brokers charging up to $2k. I am all for the free market.
From the info posted on their website, it states there is a free 15 minute discovery call. If I were looking to engage with such a service, I would make sure we are on the same page on what deal I should expect once I have picked a car.
@Tonytj - My main advice is to do your research. My other advice is to read any paperwork before signing it. Once signed, it becomes a legal document.
Not quite accurate. Some brokers either charge a retainer fee (it could be as low as $100) or up to full payment of their broker fee to lock in a deal.
I just know that if anyone’s signed an EQ deal, or CPO Porsche it was partially my fault. I’ll just go and sit and cry in my Porsches, probs one with the top down in -9*
Re your reply to me in landfill, Transparency is great, so I’ll ask are you licensed and bonded in Florida or your state of residence as a motor vehicle broker should be, what’s to protect customers from you or a dealer acting in bad faith or do you simply carry general liability instead of a bond?
I can not respond to you about my business until the mods are giving me the OK. I would prefer to not have to pay 500 dollars to defend my business on a forum that people can openly talk about my business but me. But here we are. I guess you have to wait for my response until someone says I am ok to type.
I’ll patiently wait for your future arrogant response. To be clear, I respect the hustle. You offer a useless service that requires minimal effort and make a bag pounding uneducated customers on TikTok. Kinda genius.
Ok, but what is wrong with that when uneducated customer who doesn’t have an idea how to deal with the car dealers save at least $1k on the top of the $1k for the broker?
Not everyone knows about LH. Not everyone has ability to negotiate the deals.
Also not everyone will be willing to understand the whole process of buying/leasing the car and do it by yourself.
The same customer before spending $1k for the broker can go or call the dealership. The problem is that most customers doesn’t know how to say NO to very bad offers at the time of being at the dealership.
But, the good part of it is that beacouse of them we can enjoy our LH community and car hunting.
Well here is your opportunity to call me out and ask any questions. No not a broker. Yes we do 150ish deals a month (In December we did 197, This month we will do around 130). We negotiate all back end for our clients before they talk to the dealership. Anything else?
I don’t claim to be a miracle worker
Not only my competition, but not a fan of CE. I think they give bad deals and bad information. I have openly said this. Getting 700 dollars off a Mazda or 500 dollars off a Camry is shame.
I try to keep track on the market on the GX550. Best we have done is an overtrail plus at 1k below but this one was a luxury plus. I imagine most people aren’t sitting on new models, but sure if a broker wants to speak up and say they have a stock readily available nationwide they can sell of all trims at MSRP let me know and I can direct some clients your way
Sorta kinda. There is no guarantee for my service because my service is not a money saving service. It’s a time, anxiety and energy saving service. I am not ignorant to the idea that anyone can do their own research and get a great deal that either I or a broker could get. My service (along with brokers) are ways for consumers to not have to deal with it. I would argue that dealerships tend to give me better deals than most brokers because I don’t take any fees or any of the savings from my clients. But everyone has their own business model.
I am not attempting to create cinema. I am attempting to buy a car. Which I do live for 10-20 hrs a week. Plenty of that is just normal ol conversations, its when dealerships lie or mislead where things get hairy. Just like anyone that runs a business negotiating, I have plenty of clients waiting for get deals done. I would much rather dealerships make my life easier. (and Consumers for that matter). Calling me low character I guess is a personal opinion but I would argue I am more transparent than anyone in this space. I share what I make per deal, I share my discounts, I share my work process, my work ethic, I do my work live and I share my profit losses once a month. So for being low character, I have a good amount of transparency.
I think thats why people like my model. I have a mixture of both. I am known enough. to have a network of dealerships that know who I am, and the deals I need. I don’t get paid by them so they are more than willing to give me some of these deals. I also utilize deals outside of my “network” as well. This is especially important nationwide. Some cars for example like a GX550 that people hire me as you know aren’t just readily available. We help anyone, which means making 5 calls or 76 calls. All for the same price.
Anyone can do what we do. They just have to put the time to put the calls in. People hire me because they don’t want to do that.
I treat people how they treat me. IF a dealership lies to me, I just call it out. People get mad about this. Some dealerships have little phone skills. You can be the judge.
Just to add, not a broker. And I charge 1k upfront. But I am very transparent about the deals we give. We do videos on deals we get on vehicles, I do free consults, and I do more the 20 hrs a week on lives talking about the deals. We are more than willing to give someone a price estimate. But because we are not a broker, I do not have utilize the newsletter that the dealership sent you on the 3rd of the month talking about the deals they are advertising. We actually just negotiate with dealerships.
My fee is 1k. Plenty of brokers are making more than this if you add all the ways they are making money. But I digress. I do something that I believe is better to the consumer. I charge my entire fee to the consumer. I take no money from anyone else. Not shipping, not products, not the dealerships. So the only one who can determine if my fee is “overpriced” is consumers. They believe it is worth it. Having someone on the ground for them is valulable.
When it comes to my customer base, why is my customer base “stupid” but the people who use brokers are "smart’. Can you really not see why someone would see some benefit of this over a broker? But 25% of my business comes from Tiktok. 30% referral, and the other 45% from other socials.
My customers value their time. I also spend over 40 hrs a week just educating the public on how to do this without hiring anyone. Again, this is such a horrible way to look at consumers. Brokers have their place in the world and people prefer them. They have benefits, they can get deals in minutes while it can take me a week or so. But I would argue that plenty of my deals are better. But again, I push people to this website all the time. I have videos on my tiktok teaching people how to utilize the forums on this site to get a deal.
We are not allowed to advertise our service, so I won’t direct anyone to our website. But I will say that we do tell people what kind of deal we get them before they sign up. If thats in live stream Q/As or free consults on our website.
We are a company. We have multiple employees. People can sign up for a free consult or just watch my content where I answer all deals I get. I also post all the deals I negotiate on my streams and my videos for it.
Brokers charge an upfront fee, and if they don’t charge anything they are taking a fee from the dealership. Some consumers would rather know what they are spending rather than rolling the dice on how much the broker is taking.
Start your own company, go for it. I teach everything I do for free, and tell everyone that no one should hire me as they can do this on their own. I am not getting away
Agreed with this a 100%. Nobody needs to hire me, or any broker or car buying service. The service we are offering is a service to save people time, energy and anxiety and the deals we can get, so can the regular consumer base if they are willing to put in the work.
I did, I’ve been on here since I was about 16, sold probably like 3-400+ cars on here, and plenty more off this forum, then worked at the corporate level in automotive…
I finally left automotive for better work-life balance and somehow found it.
BTW you didn’t answer my other question…
Stating something and following the law are 2 different things. I could state I’m a unicorn, and not be a unicorn - I just sign those.
