Most dealers explain the situation before they drive off in this climate. So giving less then 10/10 is basically a dbag move if that’s the case and you were happy with your experience with the salesman. They control very little of the deal so even if you over paid they shouldn’t suffer for it.
I still can’t imagine that pricing influences the survey results that much. Considering the fact that a buyer has to agree to pricing before signing and getting that survey in their inbox, anyone who is pissed at the salesman over the numbers would not sign on the dotted line.
It’s more so post contract/delivery shenanigans that impact the feedback
Most people buy then research pricing. How many times have you seen people come here after they signed bitching? They will retaliate on the survey. Happens all the time.
No one really deserves 10/10 and honest people may struggle to lie if they don’t
believe everything was perfect. And again - most have no idea how dealers get punished for anything not 10/10.
You may be happy with your salesperson, but if the car wasn’t super clean - you deduct a point.
But that doesn’t preclude those who agree to pricing without negotiation from leaving a bad survey response. The poster above stated that his rationale for telling those who ask for additional dollars off after his initial offer to take a hike is that he fears they will adversely impact him via survey. Those who agree to his numbers off the bat could also have the same remorse and take it out on him via survey.
I dont understand how manufacturers haven’t changed this shitty survey process where anything below 10’s costs the salesperson money. I know this so I always give 10’s when filling out surveys but doesn’t give opportunity to give actual feedback.
Agreed. Thats why leaving compensation up to so many variables is a dick move mandated by manufacturers on their dealers.
Google reviews don’t mean shit right?
The AI products being raced to ship by Cox/DealerTrack, a hundred+ start-ups, et al.
Literally all of these tasks are machinable and automating will (ostensibly) lead to better outcomes for the bank (i.e. way fewer finance manager begging calls to to their rep). The bank will get to fire staff too, so it’s win-win (except if you were the fired guy).
In ten years, way fewer people will be selling cars.
In 10 years way fewer people will be doing way fewer things in general. It’s a disaster that we haven’t at all planned for unless taxation on corporations is massively increased or populations decreased. There’s literally no industy that won’t be affected, that includes software engineers as AI eventually can program themselves.
UBI, baby! LOL.
Meh more like population control. They’re keeping us around just long enough to build their dystopia.
Yes yes off-ramp sorry let’s stick to the topic.
MFRs would like to cut their stores less, always. It’s terrible because the oem’s don’t give two f**ks about John J Salesman.
Getting back on topic: Aronchi is the broker for any haggle-hungry clients. He is best to haggle with after 2am.
Never have or never will haggle with a broker. Don’t bite the hand that is gonna feed you a deal better than you’ll ever do.
That said, I expect my broker to be on top of his/her game. No funny business. I had a bad experience with a broker on here who no long does business here. Couldn’t provide me a damn deal sheet, just some shady picture of a manager’s screen.
what happens when so many customers dont respond to email survey?
So far, only Lexus dealerships asked me to complete the 5 stars survey, while Toyota dealerships dont ask me to submit the survey. Maybe, Toyota dealerships dont need the survey from customers.
Most brokers will not provide deal sheets. Myself included.
If I tell you the deal/numbers, the output is exactly what you’re getting. And, my reputation is on the line if I can’t deliver on that and I’ll be on blast.
That said, I do have the dealer reach out before any customers sign to verify the numbers I told them are accurate and confirm so there is peace of mind.
Does any broker on this platform provide a deal sheet?
I said “most” to protect myself but my guess is none do.
