How/where can I get a good deal on a GX550? I am in Arkansas. Thanks in advance!
MSRP with no dealer adds is a good deal.
The best you’re gonna get is MSRP right now until further notice
Is this not a good time to lease one since MSRP is the best I can do? What is the money factor and residual I should be getting and how much can I expect to pay monthly on a premium plus?

If you’re tied to the GX, you’d be better off buying it. The leases suck. Just don’t expect any discounts right now. Some dealers have wait lists as well.
Thank you, I appreciate the info. Last question, do you expect this to change anytime soon or will I be waiting a long time for a good deal on a lease or even a purchase?
As a super supporter one of the main things you get access to is RateFinder within the LH Calculator. RateFinder will give you the base mf & rv for your chosen term.
Speculation is that it’ll be a while till we see a “deal” on these for either purchase or lease. If it’s going at MSRP this month it would be a slow walk in terms of dealers willing to offer enough of a dealer discount where one would consider it a deal. MSRP today doesn’t likely indicate MSRP - 5% next month.
If you’re waiting for a discount on them, you may be waiting a while. I’d recommend looking at something else if you don’t want to pay MSRP or be on a wait list. Not even really worth it IMO. This new gen GX is not the same as the previous generation and won’t hold its value as well
as far as holding value is concerned. my 76.5K msrp GX OT gets whole sales offers at 83k. so atleast in the short term it is much better than any other lexus toyota model.
It will be awhile before they start discounting them. And they already increased the MSRP for this year. They will probably increase it again next year. I think they are trying to widen the gap between it and its Toyota counterparts. It doesn’t make sense that a 4runner TRD Pro is fairly close in price to a GX550 OT. Same with the new Land Cruiser.
Lexuses generally don’t lease well (EVs aside) b/c the program aren’t structured to incentive leasing over purchasing.
The interior really just doesn’t look like an $80k vehicle. I was really disappointed when I saw the interior in person. Lexus in general has gone downhill on its interior quality of materials. Everything looks so plastic and the “Nuluxe” seats look and feel like rubber.
It’s way better than MbTex and Sensatec though
Aside from H/K/Genesis I don’t think anyone is making interiors that live up to their MSRPs. Not the Germans, not the domestics, not the Japanese brands
I’ll have to disagree on the MBTex. I had Sensatec on a BMW, and it was hot as F**k in the summer in Texas. It was non perforated and black in a black car. My back was wet all summer when I drove that thing.
I do agree in general, that interior quality/materials are not what it used to be across the luxury board. I’m more impressed by quality materials and construction that a line of screens across my dash. I guess that’s an old school way of looking at it though. Obviously, these screens are selling. I’d also be willing to bet that these screens are actually becoming cheaper to manufacture than quality wood, leather, aluminum, etc.
Or designing and then manufacturing buttons/knobs, I imagine.
I don’t think screens are selling b/c people are requesting them (JMHO)….
I am with you. Interior quality is important to me. Who has the best interior in an SUV in your opinion?
Did you check out the Genesis GV80?
I havent, but I will. Thank you! One of the things I like about the GX is the “boxy” look and there aren’t that many options out there like that
I just spent time with a Lex Dealer Principal today. He says they can’t keep a GX on inventory for longer than a week. The car is too hot and they only sell it at MSRP.
Personally I think the draw is the exterior look of the vehicle since it looks like a Japanese Defender. Once you get passed the cool factor, you have poor MPG, truck-like ride quality, and subpar materials. It’s definitely not an $80k car.
