We just changed the setting so that registered brokers and dealers are not treated as new users, though we still encourage them to spend some time to get a good feel of this forum’s style and audience before posting. Cheers!

I paid the broker fee yesterday and can’t post in the marketplace, can this be fixed?

Most likely user error. Follow the guidelines above, especially line items 5 and 6.

Yes, and actually, I just went to the homepage and CAN create in the marketplace from there by selecting the category.

Weird how it won’t allow me to from that section itself though.

Seems like a glitch, you see the screenshot above, but whatever, that’ll work.

9. Bumping Marketplace Topics

Dealers and Brokers shall refrain from editing their topic’s title, or replying to their own topic, for the express purpose of bumping the topic to the top of the Marketplace category. Dealers and Brokers may continue to post in their own topic to answer questions, add or highlight new deals, or provide other useful or timely information.

1. Who can post in the Marketplace?

Only registered Dealers and Brokers may post deals on the Marketplace. Please register here . Registered accounts can be identified by the icon beside the profile picture, as well as descriptor text next to the username.

Registration is required for any user who uses Leasehackr for commercial purposes. Affiliates and employees of a Dealer or Broker who have a separate account will each need to register separately. These requirements help ensure transparency so that users can identify whether the originator of a post has a commercial interest or not.

Updated Guideline No. 1 to clarify the types of users that require registration. We received concerns that some users weren’t disclosing their commercial interest in the posts and reviews they created.

On each post that includes a deal, please specify the broker fee amount, if one is required.

Updated Guideline 4 to require disclosure of broker fees on every deal posted.
