So Dodge trucks. I guess I can see the logical path from a truck to this one for a family hauler for the brand loyal customer, but I still seriously doubt that this will be a success. I guess weâll see how it does in the market.
You make fun, but the number of times you will be at the dealership fixing random things, youâll be happy for that special padded chair. Plus it will be a nice thing to slowly get you used to being surrounded by padding as you descend into madness for spending your entire life in a Jeep dealership after paying 100k for a jeep.

Looks like we have our first glimpse of potential lease pricing on these, and as expected, itâs outrageous. Seems like the wrong time and place to launch a vehicle at this price point. A nice little markup on MSRP for kickers.

Thatâs⌠actually not as bad as I was expecting. There are 80k dollar cars leasing at this price (looking at you, Mercedes/Porsche).
I guess for a full size, three row luxo-barge itâs actually not bad.
Still insane to spend that on anything labeled âJEEP.â

The above is a US Bank lease, which is pretty ugly.
But even with CCAPâs numbers for October, these arenât going to lease well. Look at these residuals for the month of October.
Note that the below residuals are for 15k miles, so:
add 2% for 10k miles on 24 & 27 month terms,
add 3% for 10k miles on 36 / 39 / 42 month terms
and add 4% for 10k miles on 48 month term.

A well-equipped 100k sticker Grand Wagoneer Series II for 10k/36 months with a 56% residual and a .00161 MF? Itâs not going to be pretty. With no discount of off sticker when they first hit the lots, plug it into the calculator youâre looking at a ~$1,500 month lease.
Initial numbers are always geared to take advantage of the geniuses who must be first at all costs.
Who is this targeting? Itâs nice but I donât see a compelling reason why someone would get this over a GLS, X7, Escalade, or Denali (until they decide to Hellcat it)
it is ten+ inches longer than X7 and GLS, so it is almost a different class of vehicle.
But I also also not sure why someone would buy it over those car. In Doug Demuroâs review, one of the screens already wasnât working properly. Now a glitch in a new super techy model isnât a big deal but having to go to a Chrysler dealer is. I donât want to spend 100K on a car (or lease for $1500+ a month) to have to deal with a Chrysler service advisor and get a base Jeep Cherokee as a loaner car.
Those waiting in the school pick up lanes or Starbucks drive thrus in these donât care if the tag says Jeep but care that they can tell their escalade, navigator, bmw & MB etc driving friends that they have a $100k SUV very few in the neighborhood have.
Itâs all about that price tagâŚyou increase the price tag the name plate rises just cuz ppl spending the $ want to keep showing it off & eventually if enough ppl buy it it already has the âprestigeâ.
People still buy Range Rovers even though there are so many reliability issues.

We do not have to agree.
But Jeep is trying to move upmarket & this is their strategy.
I am sure, there will be enough YT reviewers who will name it the best â(insert made up segment)â SUV with âbest in classâ finishes, technology etc without regards to the realiability, & it will have enough takers who wants to be the 1st to spend $$ to stand apart in the crowd.
Jeep nameplate has gained some recognition due to Wranglers which they are trying to cash in.
