Does anyone knoe how G wagons are doing these days and if dealers are taking orders at MSRP? Last I checked a few months ago they were going 100-150k over msrp and now went down to 30-50k over msrp
Did you see this thread from earlier today?
The market is softening. Despite what people here conjecture, I’d wager the average G63 driver is more gas price conscious than conventional wisdom dictates.
i.e. really wealthy people don’t buy these, except maybe for their kids.
These trucks were cheaper to own before gas and money got expensive.
The market is DEFINITELY not softening. Not Toyota market, at least. Auction prices are softening. Not the New Car market. Matter of a fact, my store had a record profit month last month. Hybrid vehicles’ waitlist is about 4-6 months and even gas vehicles are 1-2 month wait.
I was talking about G Wagons, the subject of this thread. I don’t know shit from shinola about toyoters.
That said, the Toyota Way was a very influential book in my life.
Oh haha. I thought when you said the market, I thought you were generalizing.
MB dealers are generally whores. They are not discounting because they like you. They have a deep knowledge of where their product is at most times.
There are some dealers who will do list. Fields in Chicago for one. Do some legwork and legit just google it. Many won’t sell out if market for obvious reasons.
You’ll have to wait for a while but get over it.
record profit as in number of total dollar amount or number of cars sold vs last year same time?
Record Profit as in number of total dollar amount
My store is $100k over on G63 orders for 2022’s. Have a few coming next week. $60k over for G550. But we have a bunch of them, other stores that have to wait, usually will be closer to MSRP. Depends how patient you are.
I have my name on a 22 model that comes in this week in the midwest. DM me and I can connect you if I don’t end up taking it. Am getting it for $15k over MSRP but I have a trade.
Was at dealership yesterday. Had a 2020 on the floor for MSRP $106,000.(Little out of my price range). Guess they are not moving to fast.
I created a thread about g63’s and escalades when the craziness just started happening, these were the type of cars that saw the crazy first.
Not surprising that they are the first to start coming down in a dramatic way as well. Supply is still short but demand is starting to fall off a cliff.
Got my Range Rover from Fields, they are great all around.
Where was this.
I assume it would be most cost effective to order and wait…
Palm Beach Florida
There is a softening, they are now going $50-$70k over from $100k
Ft Lauderdale just had 2 G63s land, going for 70k over.
