Ford Mustang Mach-E -- MY23 Order Banks are Open

If your MME gets delivered in 2023, you can claim the $7500 in 2023 and file in 2024.
Assuming you meet the income cap.

I am getting mine in this month (2023) and will change my W4 withholdings to tax less each month so I will get paid for my $7500 every month in 2023 and when I file in 2024, I won’t get a refund nor will I owe.

Check with your tax person - delivery in 2023 means tax credit in 2023. Apply for tax credit in 2024.

I understand that the guidance doesn’t explicitly address “If you entered a written binding contract to buy a vehicle before August 16, 2022, but took possession on or after January 1, 2023,” but by stating that you can ignore the assembly requirement before January 1, 2023, it seems to be suggesting that you cannot ignore the assembly requirement on or after January 1, 2023. If you also could ignore it after January 1, 2023, the “and before January 1, 2023” language would be meaningless.

The North American assembly requirement has been in place since the IRA was signed in August.

This NA requirement includes all EVs from August 2022 to current and future.

Except for the situation OP is discussing.

Picked this up today base select rwd, xplan, $2k ford options at 4.49%, $3k private offer.

Originally ordered on 4/8 and got converted to 2023. Missed out on 2022 tax credit by a week but still eligible for 2023 tax credit.

Congrats!

Yes, your Select trim qualifies you to the '23 tax credit!

It’s a good debate but lets keep it out of of the MME thread.

Delivery got shifted 2 weeks later.

Is weather making the rail lines slow ?

Last it was in KC, MO…

Just got the call that it arrived, skipping out even with the private offer, values seem tanked.

A GT? What was your all in?

Same here in Maine, delivery was supposed to be by Jan 5, now Jan 15-21.

Yeah GT

MSRP: 71.2k

-8.5k private offer
-~1000x plan
-500 ford options

+6.5% sales tax

Would have taken it with the tax credit but with that off the table I don’t see this as a deal anymore. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Taking away the credit sure did mess this up.

I have the same build minus the tax. (Ev tax free state) I’ll have a decision to make when it finally arrives.

Paying the tax on the full amount is painful. Wipes out the discount substantially.

Is Ford Mach E going to follow Tesla and Audi too to give EV Tax credit on Finance and EV instant credit on leases. I think Audi recently announced lease credit on EVs.
I am expecting Ford and VW to follow soon

Wow, that would be great news to Ford EV buyers. It’s a great move on the part of Audi to kick back the credit since leases don’t have to comply with MSRP cap, income cap, North American build, etc…

So my MME arrived and was going to pick up tomorrow but I can’t find my Mustang Club of America card to get the X-plan price. I have an account I opened back in April. Don’t recall if I ever received a physical card.
I will try to call Mustang Club on Monday but wondering if any suggestions.

You can get it from the mustang club of America site, just log in and go through the process on their site.

Are X Plan being honored on 2023 MME ?
