If your MME gets delivered in 2023, you can claim the $7500 in 2023 and file in 2024.
Assuming you meet the income cap.
I am getting mine in this month (2023) and will change my W4 withholdings to tax less each month so I will get paid for my $7500 every month in 2023 and when I file in 2024, I won’t get a refund nor will I owe.
I understand that the guidance doesn’t explicitly address “If you entered a written binding contract to buy a vehicle before August 16, 2022, but took possession on or after January 1, 2023,” but by stating that you can ignore the assembly requirement before January 1, 2023, it seems to be suggesting that you cannot ignore the assembly requirement on or after January 1, 2023. If you also could ignore it after January 1, 2023, the “and before January 1, 2023” language would be meaningless.
Is Ford Mach E going to follow Tesla and Audi too to give EV Tax credit on Finance and EV instant credit on leases. I think Audi recently announced lease credit on EVs.
I am expecting Ford and VW to follow soon
Wow, that would be great news to Ford EV buyers. It’s a great move on the part of Audi to kick back the credit since leases don’t have to comply with MSRP cap, income cap, North American build, etc…
So my MME arrived and was going to pick up tomorrow but I can’t find my Mustang Club of America card to get the X-plan price. I have an account I opened back in April. Don’t recall if I ever received a physical card.
I will try to call Mustang Club on Monday but wondering if any suggestions.
