Picking up the 23 XLT tomorrow. See
Which EV are you going to dispose of when you pick up the new one? Get rid of the Nissan penalty box?
How many EVs have you owned/leased?
Alot of hair dryers for sure. 14 across 6 years.
Many artisanal cobalt miners perished for this.
Hehe this is going in the landfill so fast…
Do you know if the Battery Storage Technology Tax Credit (30%) applies to the Lightnings leased or purchased if set up as backup generator? How would that factor in to the lease/price calculation?
I have been going down a rabbit hole trying to figure it out. The following is a link to the .gov website: Battery Storage Technology Tax Credit | ENERGY STAR. It meets the 3 KW requirement - there must be a catch, beyond the cost of equipment and installation.
I am not your accountant but I suspect you will run afoul of the word “installed” and specifically 17(c) on form 5695
If you are interested in claiming this, I’d call the IRS and ask. The last time I called with a problem, hold time + resolution was under 15 minutes.
All three Ford EVs: Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford F-150 Lightning and Ford E-Transit contributed to the growth in July. The Mach-E remains the best-selling EV from Ford (4,592 units sold), while the Ford F-150 Lightning was the fastest growing (up 82% year-over-year), in big part due to a low base in July 2023 where it only moved 1,552 units.
Ford BEV sales last month (YOY change):
- Ford Mustang Mach-E: 4,592 (up 17%)
- Ford F-150 Lightning: 2,822 (up 82%)
- Ford E-Transit: 828 (up 5%)
- Total: 8,242 (up 31%) and 5% share
They start offering a subvented leasing program for Lgt and they move 2822 units in a month.
Problem here is to score good you gotta qualify almost all rebates… im hoping this or silverado ev will start leasing better, before all the bs rebates
F-it at this point. Already at $2.5bill loss this year on EVs, expected to hit $5-$5.5bill by end of year. What ever it takes to move stale inventory. Fire sale these things already, cut production drastically and move onto their next gen lower cost EVs.
I got two calls last week from dealers seeing if I was interested in Silverado EV inventory. Their $96k RST’s are collecting dust.
Where i got my Silverado (gas) model in Maryland its called chevy preston they have a ford dealer too. I been keeping my eyes on them will see. Im hoping @ChevyGuy will bring some deals to the forum in the future
Anyone recently buy or lease with a broker recently or have recs?
I’d like to get in a Lightning in the next month or two. Open to shipping, I’m in MN.
You can have any color you want as long as it’s black.
Why don’t you just copy @z0lt3c and get a $300 monthly Ford Lightning?
I dont have his rebates
You know that guy is going to get bored of his EV hair dryer in a month or so. @Ashleigh got him a car that he liked so much, he actually drove it 5 whole months! Five!
After your comment, he probably got PM’s asking is hes ready for lease transfer from like 3 different ppl. Lol
With my mileage, it’s easier for me to pass it on quick and pick up another one to run 5000 miles onto.
August programs are so strong you don’t need a private offer anymore. These are both deals I’ve seen members quietly sign (with no TDM).
23 XLT ER 74k MSRP - 7.5/24M 348/M (reproducible)
24 FLASH 70k MSRP - 7.5/24M 356/M (not-reproducible)
If you have Tesla conquest (it’s good for something!) it’s even cheaper.
You have any details on 24 Lariat @ 36M? Are leases eligible for the $7.5 EV credit?
