I have yet to see a bumper sticker that says “Cool Tesla… said no one ever”. Usually, it’s something like “I bought a Tesla before I found out that Elon is crazy”.

I didn’t realize that the quality of cars is based on stickers on the back. By that logic, half of subarus in the northeast the THE most quality cars EVER!

Other countries have much lower labor costs to build rail also as they’re either using basically slave labor or they’re a developing low wage country anyway. Unions impede development here…

Unions and graft.

At least abroad they actually end up cobbling something together though as a matter of pride. They just make excuses and overrun the budget 10 fold here.

Yes I didn’t think I had to mention that . But that exists in every other country too. So it’s mainly labor cost

I must have missed it but what was the trick you employed for your low payment Solterra?

Getting them to over pay $2k on a trade vs other offers, $6k discount off sticker before rebates, $3500 point of sale state discount. Overall deal had about $3400 in trade equity.

It’s a dealer I’ve leased two other cars this year so they know it’s an easy deal.

@BigNerd I think I read that on a meme before LOL.

Overpaid trade equity DOES count. Everyone else was at 50 and they gave 52.

Not saying I disagree but wasn’t this Eric’s exact argument lol

In what city or planet do you live in that Tesla’s are dominating fleet use for cabs/uber/lyft?

Off the top of my head…

When we were in Amsterdam ~9 years ago, Model S taxis were everywhere.

Fast forward and most of the Ubers we took in London this year were the Tesla model that looks like a pregnant watermelon.

And those $75k+ vehicles replaced tons Diesel Mercedes E Class vehicles… Logi made it seem like these are $15k little chevy bolts or Kia Rios floating around everywhere.

I’d still love to see an entire city whos fleet is predominantly Tesla’s though, like Logi is implying. I’d have to really go out on a limb and say it doesnt exist. Maybe the 50 Revel Teslas (out of 100k+ uber/taxis/etc) in NYC is what hes thinking of?

My math is off again. You are paying $162 per month and your effective is $280 per month. While the trade in equity was $3400. Shouldn’t your effective be above $300?

Irrespective of the numbers, sounds like a great deal. :+1:t3:

Eric was harrydogyo’s other account.

It is happening, in full, in San Francisco. Cruise was just shut down by DMV but will be back up shortly.

Slander!

Here’s the calculator link.

I’ve been reading more about this, and it seems that it may be more about environmental credits being tied to range than just a “they lied to consumers” thing that everyone is saying. It’s very hard to figure out what’s true and what’s not when it comes to Tesla obviously, so take that with a grain of salt.
