South Point Hotel Las Vegas-new chargers are LIVE and FREE (for now)

In the Tesla Y and got 7.7 kw 30 miles per hr (charger says 19.2 kw max) so don’t know if car limits the kw’s etc. Next trip will bring the Ioniq 5 and see what it charges at :+1:

They are free, but there’s a cc swiper/rfid so don’t know if they will charge in the future…noticed a lot of cars plugged in to the older Bosch chargers hence they probably didn’t know these are free too. Those output 15/hr only last time I charged here.

A little more here with less spin:

This doesn’t seem possible but leave it to CA to make it happen:

They don’t need to directly tie it to Tesla. They could just tie it to brands that have a certain market share already or sales etc

Tie what to Tesla? You mean the other article on the rebate?

Looks like Gavin still hasn’t figured out that while he can run up CA budget deficit into gazillions of dollars, he cannot print his own California Pesos. NVM pending battle between the incoming admin and sanctuary states over federal subsidies.

With a new Fed Administration and a 2 year lame duck Governor it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

The best cars to coexist are the ones with charging ports on the front passenger side or rear driver (like tesla).
right?

The other two corners doesn’t seem like it would work without taking up 2 spots.

Porsche has it on both sides, i like that

I was charging my Ariya at Tesla Magicdock locations for some time. You just need to find a post that’s offset left and pull up so your bumper is almost touching the post. Same trick works with my Lightning. So far, I’ve never had to take up two spots with either vehicle, although I have waited for the right post to open up.

They really need to make the adapters 3 feet long

Yup, sorry! Replied to the wrong message.

anyone putting together some lightning deals? would love to check one out but trying to add up all the right rebates

The Porsche and eTron only have one DC charge port, on the passenger side. The driver side port is only AC.

That’s what the Porsche and the eTron have, which is weird because EA chargers have cables that pull from the left? Together with the long nose, it barely works on EA chargers and unless you charge at the station at the very end of the line, you have to drag the charging cable across the front of the car, often having to rest or lean it against the bodywork. Maybe they were designed to use Tesla charging stations from the beginning?

There is broker in northeast boards that was advertising some good looking deals yesterday. Esp if you have ram or Tesla conquest

Took the Taycan to EA. I reversed in and had no issues on the passenger front side.

Seems like the distance would be greater but maybe the cable won’t have to touch the bodywork. I’ll try that next time.
