I have a local dealer offering a 43k stickered Equinox for 3k one pay. California.
I am eligible for: Bolt Loyalty, Supplier, Conquest - non-gm lease, Costco, and will be signing up for the gm card. I am told I’m getting buy rate, and 80% rv. But the rest of the details of deal structure are not made apparent.
I know June updates aren’t exactly here. But what are the thoughts here? One part of me wants to jump on it, one part wants transparency, as I think there’s something better that can be struck. Please give some input.
Sometimes you don’t need to have the full details if you are getting the deal that you are looking for. Let the dealer handle how they get to the price you are asking for, whether that is through base/marked up MF or higher/lower dealer discount.
At the surface level, this looks like a great deal for an Equinox especially with the 15k miles. You could also compare this with what is listed on the marketplace.
Thanks team. I signed shortly after posting. You’re all correct. If it works for me, I don’t need the transparency. But to give you all insight, there was plenty left on the table. Not worried about it though. Fine with what it is. Cheers!
Do you have all the numbers to post now that you have signed? Where in Cali was this? What was your discount preincentives and total incentives that you qualified for?
Plot twist. Dealer calls today. “We need to redo lease - it should’ve been 10k.”
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Feels like a shake-down of another thousand bucks.
Unless it is something that will result in it not getting funded then doesn’t sound like your problem but I’m not a lawyer. They should be able to tell you which terms are incorrect.
They’re saying it is. They’re also admitting their mistake. Someone messed up and used 10k rv but used 15k on mileage allotment. I could just take it back to them, and find another equinox to get into. Similar deals this month as per the brokers.
