EA failure clearly.

They should at least credit you the amount to pay for overages per charge session.

How did they charge you exactly ? Did it go against the ChargePoint balance ?

People should not expect a ā€œfreeā€ service will also be convenient and highly available in a high demand / low supply ( of stations) environment. Where I live, there is ( free) EA and not free Chargepoint where EA is almost always full and CP available.

Early morning still seems to be the best time for my local EA charger.

It was 5 of 6 available when I woke up but by the time I picked up some breakfast and when I showed up, I was 3rd in line.

The 150kw freed up and the 2 in front told me to go ahead so I did.

Good thing the Ioniq is so fast… went from 20 to 80% in 18 minutes (peaked at 174kw which is the first time I saw a 150kw go higher than 150kw) and I stayed the full 30 minutes because there was only one waiting (and for the 350kw chargers). Left with a 92% charge.

Still seems like there are more MBZs charging than any other brand.

I get the same error. Have you found a fix?

Submit a complaint to Audi, they will take 2 weeks for their tier 2 support to reply to you… Sometime during that wait it will resolve itself, somewhat lol.

I got it last night but it doesn’t seem all that often now.

My local 350kw hasn’t pumped anything above 180kw in the last 2 weeks. IM wondering if its an EA issue or a car issue…

Probably has some failed modules limiting amperage.

I had a interesting issue on my Mach-E Last year where it won’t DC Fast Charge on EA. Lol, which was the only free charging. It would give me 150kw on EVGO and others, but for EA, nopes, won’t charge at all.

Im feeling its the same idea here. Will try EVGO sometime and see how it goes

There’s an option buried in the settings on the car’s screen to toggle on ā€œPlug & Chargeā€ (or called something similar). Once toggled on, I was able to bypass the Audi app and just plug in at EA and the charge would start automatically (dependent on the EA charger actually working, of course). DM me if you can’t find this setting and I can see if I can find it again in the morning.

I’ve never once gotten the ā€œEnter the charger infoā€ prompt on the MyAudi app to activate a charger since I got the car in August.

I’d be curious what that’s under… Lmk

I’ve always used the app and entered the station #. Let us know.

Feature avail. for 2023 e-tron, e-tron Sportback, e-tron S, and e-tron S Sportback. 2024 Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron.

The forums say you should have a setting in MMI - that enables plug & pay & charge - if it’s unavail. it should be greyed out.

Oh My God Wow GIF

Actually not as buried in the settings as I recalled. Just click the Charging button on the bottom screen > Click the gear icon on top right > then toggle on ā€œPlug & Chargeā€. Mediocre step-by-step with pics below:

No go on my e tron gt

It’s not on the GTs, unfortunately

Bummer…but I’d trade you for a Q8 for the GT!
