Thatâs a product liability issue.
This is completely different, itâs a sales promotion.
And itâs a sales promotion tied to an arbitration clause â and you opt in to class-action exemptionâŚ
And it involves a third party.
There is no class action case here.
Right now I have to drive 6 miles (12 miles round trip). because the first station has 33% chargers down. This is far from expecting 99% up time! Now Iâm at the 2nd station today with 25% of the chargers down and the fastest of the remaining 3 is charging at 78kw.
The dealer is responsible because they made the claim about fast charging and pointed out the number of available stations near me. If not legally, guess who WILL hold them responsible when the lease is up and theyâre looking for me to do another lease with them. Customers will hold them responsible for not standing behind the product theyâre selling which is an EV with convenient, fast, free charging.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice⌠well thatâs just not going to happen again.
I didnât say it wasnât shitty.
Thereâs just no class action or legal liability here.
Call 10 lawyers tomorrow and report back how many will take your case on contingency.
I guess 11a+ is a bad time. I just got to one before 11:15a and now there are 6 waiting, most of them are EQx and there are 3 EQx charging.
All these MB owners suckling up the free electrons.
There is also luck ( I did a study once on wait times for a random sample population, it is VERY random).
Last Wed, I went to charge, I was second in line. 4 chargers al taken, and one person ahead of me. When I got done, 2 chargers were vacant with no one in line and I was the vacating the 3rd charger. Someone who would come after me would be extremely lucky
This particular EA location seems pretty consistent as itâs the one I use the most.
Itâs a shopping center next to a bunch of businesses, apartments and the freeway.
So 6am-10am is usually okay, 11am (lunchtime and when most shops are open) until midnight is full (I was once in line for almost an hour at 11pm at night).
its true, the human mind is very random
Exactly, and letâs not forget that this disaster of a company was born out of fraud⌠which apparently is part of its DNA.
Reminds me of the black friday lines outside BestBuy back in the late 2000s / early 2010s (before everything went online)
With less fights and sleeping bags.
This free EA charging thing would definitely turn off more potential buyers. In the medium term, I donât know if it does more good or bad for the EV industry.
Donât know if this is a MB or EA issue so Iâll post here,
Have a â22 EQS with free charging but today was charged $30 for a 25 minute charge, I know about the new rule that if you go over 30 minutes you pay for the charge but I was under the 30 minute free charge limit.
MB says itâs a EA issue not reading my plan (EA has to reimburse me) but how could that happen with plug and charge. It read my account and started the charge.
Anyone experience this before?
Yeah, it became a norm past few weeks
The norm of abandoning the free charging offer? ![]()
The norm of EA goofing things up that should be dead simple.
Talked to EA and it showed the free charge plan on the session but didnât apply so now whoâs pocket am I getting my money from ![]()
Finally you take the L
