There isn’t a bug, it’s a rodent.
That was the issue my dad is having but just with first session. Mercedes has no idea neither does EA
Me when the EQS TCO goes up
Big time service outage, at least here in NY/NJ. EA app down. BMW/EA integration down. No way to start charge. All EA plugs here are free and start on connect.

Do you not charge it at home? It doesn’t seem worth the time and effort to get free charging.
I have a L2 charger at home that used for Nissan Leaf. That one has abysmal charging speed at superchargers and definitely wasn’t worth the pain.
With ID.4 I’m still playing because
- free charge
- charging speed is higher (from 15% to 75% in 30 min so far is intriguing)
- relatively no lines at two EA spots to charge at
- newness of the process to still play with
- have sell connection to do thing online
- or do grocery shopping to other things at stores around.

They don’t want to say “its free right now”…
I got Mercedes to work on EA and it worked fine in Arkansas
Yeah. My EA app is “down”.
I wonder how crowded the chargers are.
Must have charged deep into the pack to only pull half a pack in 40 minutes.
We usually average 65-75kWh in half hour sessions.
It’s cold… 25 degrees… and I didn’t precondition, but plug maxed at 100. You take you can get here.
Is JuicePimp owned by EA?
My last EA charging session I go out of my car to check why 2 chargers were down to see what it said on the screen and some guy who had left his car, walked back to see what I was doing and then walked back out once he saw I was just looking.
Probably afraid I was going to end his session. He later came back at the half hour mark so he was one of “those” guys.
Last few times I noticed of I come with <20% battery left the charge start at high rate but as charge progresses, goes down to 60-80 range to get to 80% in exactly 30 min session. If as there is a software timing the charge to hit the 80% goal.
Btw, it was 40ish outside
Yesterday i tested again the 60 minutes wait between sessions.
I was waiting 2 minutes between the sesions. No charge.
I’ve never gotten charged cutting a session at 30 and hopping back on when we needed the range.
Frankly I don’t think it’s something EA can enforce (yet) because their chargers will just randomly quit at times.
Haha. I was charged yesterday for 2 minutes and this 30 minutes limit of free time is enforced in my case.
