E golf good deal? $79/month, 36months, $2789 due at signing

i’m looking at this deal from Cerritos VW in the Los Angeles area. Can I do better? I seem to think doing $99/month with $0 down is possible on these cars? I can wait a month or two to get a better deal on 2016s if needed.

$79/month, 36months, $2789 due at signing which incl 1st payment, $0 security deposit, $0 acquistion fee. DOES NOT incl tax, license fees.

thoughts?

I’d like a 36 month to qualify for calfiornia $2500 credit (or at least apply assuming it comes back…). thoughts?

7500 miles per year is low but might be ok for me as a 3rd car.

was too good to be true the sales rep was way off and $2999 was not refundable.

In addition to the $2,789 due at signing, you’d also have to pay:

  • tax on cap cost reduction and rebates (about $1,000)
  • license/registration (about $300)
  • doc fee ($80)

Going for 10K/year lowers the residual by 1%, so you’ll be paying about $300 more over the lease term (about $9/month).

What was the total? Even if it’s $4,200 drive-off and $86/month, that’s pretty good since the $2,500 CA rebate is back. Averages to about $130/month.

wait is the $2500 back? what I read was that it was just a waitlist???!

Don’t you only need a minimum of 30 months to qualify?

Do you think it would be wise to wait a little longer for better deals on the SE and SEL? I am interested in the SEL and I’ve visited Santa Monica and Pasadena VW which both have plenty of stock. I don’t really know how it goes with the depletion of 2016 cars. Is this a good time, or is it better to wait a couple of weeks (months?) ?

Buy when it makes sense lol. Lease hackr score greater than 15, rebate available, color/options/trim that you like available etc etc and payment that saves you money over your current ride

Well everything I’ve seen on the SEL so far doesn’t even come close to a LeaseHackr score of 15. More like 8 or 9… :frowning:

Patience young Jedi. Deals will come

So I am getting this offer:
eGolf SEL 2700 drive off, 189+tax/mo, 12k miles, 30 mo. Does this sound good?

Hi All,

I was trying to get a egolf weeks ago , and then decide to wait for the prius prime(since green sticker seems approved)

for the egolf, 30 month will be the best, since you can receive your $2500 ca rebate

My quote for the e golf with fast charge is
selling price $23,617 , this is before $7500 federal tax

7500 miles/30 month, residual is 41% or 40%, money factor is fixed 0.00065 this month

VW has cooperate program, if you work for big company, they give you $500 lease cash
also, $500 recent grad is available till end of this year.

so, if you don’t qualify for cooperate and recent grad, you can expect a sum payment (down+drive off+tax+monthly)
around $5700-5900, you can get $2500 back later

if you qualify for cooperate and recent grad, expect $4600-4800

I hate dealing with some non Internet sales or some bad internet sales,

they are always trying to hide the taxes and drive off
they said 0 down, but you need to at least pay $1200 for

  1. tax on $7500
  2. dealer fee, etc
  3. first month payment

It’s hard to compare between dealer because some include above fee, some didn’t

compare monthly alone is meaningless, add$1000 in down/drive off will make difference in monthly

I love most of Leasehackr but IMHO the score is totally bogus. They should score it based on NET buy price. In which case, as Mr. Stumpf would say, “8 is grrrreatt”

@johnsonzong91, Where was your deal at?

I’ve been looking and the best I could find was 24,775.

$3777 drive off
$107/month
7500 mi/yr
30 month

Been calling all over creation to find a good deal on an egolf. All numbers are the same as before but seems like VW has pulled $1000 from dealer incentives. Cost per month has gone up about $30.

Just got off the phone with a dealer that would do an SE w/ quick charge.

31625 MSRP
24275 Selling price
41% residual
.00065 MF
30 months @ 7500mi/yr

$125/month (includes tax)
$3000 drive off

$6625 total

With $2500 CA rebate, comes out to $4125 or $138/month

Any good?

That looks great. A shiny, comfy new car that costs pennies to run for $138/month? Seems like a no brainer to me. e-Golf is probably the best low-range EV out there.

So, here is what I got today. I am having trouble making sense of the things. I feel like extra costs are missing. And what is “Aftermarket.”

Actually looked at it a bit more and ran it through the lease calculator and it works out pretty good. Within $1 on monthly and $30 on due at signing. That includes the 985 aftermarkets which I have no idea what they are. Maybe I can get them off.

Maybe Aftermarket is accessories the dealer added on, like wheel locks or nitrogen fill or something?
