Tbf, it’s 15k/year and most leases posted here are 7.5k.
Uh yea, it costs like 2x more
It’s not the cheapest lease in the world but I don’t think it’s a horrible deal even compared to EQE or i4. Model 3 doesn’t have a very luxurious interior compared to MB or BMW but you get access to a much better charging network, so there’s ups and downs. If you like the car and having your shifter on the touchscreen and all the other weird Tesla shit (I don’t) then enjoy the car in good health.
Not if you’re paying 6.25% on the selling price.
Yeah but nonetheless it’s $760 a month for a $40something K car. Is that a good deal? I don’t think so. Others may disagree and that’s cool.
I recently got an EQE350 suv loaner for $265 a month with $1500 down. Something along those lines. 24 months, 10K miles a year.
Yeah but the gag prize is that now you have to drive an EQE.
Hey be nice!
I got that thing because it was there to get. Didn’t really need. Would it be my first choice? No. But for $260 a month, what the hell?
An extra $250 or so in Texas taxes … per month
It’s still cheaper than OP $576 per month on tesla 3, LOL.
For double the money, sure
Would you prefer they inflate the MSRP like MB and BMW so you can get like $20k in incentives? They’re inflating MSRP and then providing discounts, whereas Tesla’s MSRP now is kinda fair with a MF that’s not great. If OP did 10k miles and 36 months, it would have been like $420 a month. Way better right? You need to compare equivalent mileage too. The Tesla model 3 lease isn’t great, but it’s not a disaster. It’s just that there are better options on the market.
I don’t prefer anything. I think paying $760/mo effective for a Model 3 is nutty, while paying $300 effective for a EQE350 is a steal.
And I didn’t do 36 months I did 24 months like OP. Only difference is more miles for the OP.
So dumb.
101010
Nobody screwed the OP, except himself maybe.
Gotta know how leases work, how they can/cannot be hacked, and specifically how taxes in Texas can be hacked.
Wouldn’t be anywhere close to that if it was Texas and 15k miles. Since they took 15k, I’m assuming they’re road tripping a lot so makes sense to get a Tesla than have to deal with EA. Ultimately, it’s OP’s fault, but I think a lot of people here talk about leases which are like 3k das and 7.5k miles/year. Also, I’m not sure whether doing 15k is worth it for Tesla rather than paying overage on what you actually end up using.
Tesla’s are usually buys anyway, especially if you qualify for all the incentives
What’s wrong with an EQE? I thought they were fine.
Cool kids don’t like it.
i have already racked up 500 miles on the tesla and i got it april 27, so i needed to get 15k miles. and i just realized the tax rules on leases in texas are terrible cuz they tax you as if u are buying full price. i think leasing in texas is overall not good.
