Bro did you have insurance in house dated for march?
You like giving people ones, I like to call and complain to GMs about her sales staff that lost a REPEAT sale. (As I bought my previous car from them earlier as well)
So by complaining you think either
A: The GM will take a deeper deal for a customer will nuke the survey anyway
B: Just listen to you whine?
Which outcome do you want?
What else? Write up / fire the sales person for doing a lousy job. So yah, I’m a Karen
And there is no deeper deal, I already got the car somewhere else because I never got a call back and 3 weeks later this dealer called me to see if I still wanted the car.
So you literally called for no reason? You got your deal, move on. Talk about a waste of time
Honestly, I love the brand and if they honor the deal why would I give a bad review when they made it right?
My opinion is the salesman dropped the ball and screwed up…
You two need to stop waging war against each other and just ball up and that goes for you too. @forbs
Boy you must’ve had one of me .
- I filled out the form
- They called me in 15 minutes saying they would call me back that day.
- I bought the car somewhere else the next day
- They (same salesperson ) called me 3 weeks later, (And I left this out) After I left picking up my other car from Service at that dealership
- I called the GM after I left because I was pissed at how lame can a salesperson be.
@derekoh1991 I was just contributing how I was screwed by a Dealer as well, the other guy jumped on me since I insulted salespeople.
What MB dealer in the us is owned by MB corp?
MB of Manhattan
Yeah, based on the what’ve you shared, it does sound like the salesman screwed up. The problem is that the program really has changed for April.
Contact the GSM to see if they can somehow negotiate a deal to your liking w/ the April program and/or, if this is MB Manhattan, maybe MB headquarters to complain? (basically what @wam22 already has said) But that’s probably all you can do.
Usually, deal recaps are done on 3rd of every month on Mercedes, meaning that program can still be valid until today. Customer cannot blame the dealership, but himself.
Has it? I dont see anything that specifies what programs changed or what model mb we are talking about.
Surprised MB Manhattan would even discount anything lol.
You should have just signed all paperwork since you did credit app. You don’t need salesman to send you contract. FI guy can send it to you and get it done
My tinfoil hat theory is that the sales manager does not want to take this deal for April since there is no reason for the salesperson to kill the deal or have them not take delivery. The sales manager would rather blame the programs than say we don’t want to take this deal anymore.
This is what im getting at
Dealer probably knows this, but I assume they didn’t reach a volume breakpoint they were expecting? I’m guessing the deal no longer makes for a smart business decision if that’s the case.
Mb of Manhattan is a wild place - some really nice builds lined up in the windows
Ah, I see what you mean.
If OP doesn’t/didn’t know the March program break down, but they can ask on Edmunds if the program has changed yet (and perhaps the program has not changed, based on what @derekoh1991 has said).
Yeah, I think Mercedes screwed up too.
It’s the business’s responsibility to ensure the customer is taken care of. The customer has no responsibility to the business, that’s the beauty of the free market.
Now maybe they just got a better deal and couldn’t care to complete. Either way, the salesperson is supposed to take care of you, that’s literally their job. Vote with your wallet and avoid that dealership/avoid Mercedes next time.
Personally, I think the EQS is a nice car, but it doesn’t live up to the expectation that an S class Mercedes sets, definitely not at the $140k MSRP, so I don’t plan on going Mercedes next time either.
