Dealer posted fake deals

I started getting the feeling that very low-priced deal posts are by dealers trying to drive traffic and inquiries.

that would be extremely weird. All the dealers I’ve worked with always have straightforward pricing and make it very easy to get the lowest price possible.

Least obvious dealer shill. Which dealership do you own?

What makes you say that? None of the posts disclose dealer or else they’d get bombarded by hundreds across the country. Not to mention, they’d get blasted in the comments if the deal wasn’t as advertised. There’s a specific way to negotiate these deals and it’s not calling and asking for quotes.

100% agree with steveb25. Ive had many 100 messages in less than 48 hours of my hummer post. Im not a dealer and yes my deal was legit and exactly that to the dollar.

Do you mean on this site or on the internet?

on this site.

Can you link an example?

It would be a little more constructive to provide a little more context or example for us to review.

Of all things for dealers to waste their time on, uploading fake contracts to LH’s signed section and posting fake details on Signed forum posts would be very low on the list

What is your approach when trying to replicate the deals you are seeing?

I tried chevy, cadillac websites to find out the one pay lease amounts and fill the application and submit them. Now they are pending with dealers . They wont get back to you or whe you call you will he tossed between . So no dealer is willing to agree to the one pay lease amount showed on the chevy or Cadillac website.

This is the problem:

  1. Dealer and OEM website offers are always garbage, and any lease calculator is typically inaccurate and doesn’t include any meaningful dealer contribution

  2. You should change your strategy. First research pre-incentive discount others are getting on this forum. Use your super supporter subscription and Ratefindr to construct your target deal on a vehicle (including any conditional incentives you qualify for). Take the output and email/call dealers with unambiguous, actionable offers. (E.g. I am ready to sign stock #xyz if you can get me to $X / month with $Y DAS).

OP is not a “tip” so idk what it’s doing in this sub.

None of the great deals you see here are from people asking the dealer how much they want you to pay. Dealers aren’t going to just give LH type deals to everyone who inquires, it takes some work.

Move to a strategy of making offers.

Plug the following into the LH calculator after MSRP of the vehicle you’re looking at:

Selling price based on % pre-incentive discount found by searching Shared Deals and Marketplace sections of this forum.

RV, MF and incentives (lease cash) from Rate Findr. Add any extra rebates you qualify for (college grad, etc) under incentives.

DMV fees and taxes based on your state’s official website.

What do you mean by ‘tip’ ?

You posted in the “signed deals and tips” section.

The premise of this website is it is possible to hack a lease . From what i seeing and understaing it is not easy unless you have good relationship with dealers. And looking at the signed deals section most of the singed ones are less 9 years or less. Even the market places deals if we include dealer fees are in the same range. Offcourse there are outliers reported but hacking makes sense only if atleast 50% chances of reproducibility which i dont see a evidence in the signed deals section . These outliers exist or given to drive the footfall or inquires . This is again my two cents .

I have been leasing 2-3 cars an year for the past few years. I am sure its not as difficult as you think it is. Just structure your deal in a calculator and email 10-15 dealers and one of them would agree to replicate it. Or simply contact a broker in your area with their advertised deal and you’ll get the car without hacking a lease or knowing the exact numbers.
