“Saw a 3 Series last week here in FL with not only a Nissan dealer’s license plate frame but their decal too! That person doesn’t deserve to be driving a BMW!!!”
I think you may have found Dmitri!

I’ve noticed more and more dealers are now doing giant banners across the back window now, sometimes in addition to stickers and/or plate frames. C’mon, dealers. Know your place. You’re merely the middle man and, given the opportunity, could easily be bypassed. Thank us for letting you exist this long.
Are you sure the big banners aren’t loaner cars?
Almost certain they’re not. Mainly because I don’t think there could possibly be that many loaner cars, and also because I’ve noticed a lot of dealers blast their loaner cars with “XYZ DEALER COURTESY VEHICLE” graphics. They’re getting shameless.
My locals just put ID numbers on the corner of the front and back windows.
Yep. That’s the norm here in SoCal.
I have had dealers change the frame to their dealer name if I am servicing elsewhere. They’re pretty ruthless. I have removed frames and when I go in for service they magically appear on the car. The last time I carried my own screwdriver and took them off before I drove off the service area. #paymeforadvertising
I’ve been noticing some particularly obnoxious dealer decals lately and most of them seem to come from podunk towns (if it has a Dairy Queen but no McDonalds, it’s podunk) that just happen to have a branded dealer. Maybe this is how they think they’ll get on the map?
One even had dealer name integrated into a pinstriping job (which i’m sure they tried to charge $500 for)
