Deal Review - 2025 X7 40i

,

MA
2025 BMW x7 40i
MSRP: $107k
Discount: $4100 + 2k loyalty/lease
Down Payment: 5k (includes fees + first payment)
36 months/12k miles
Monthly: $1745
Residual: 51%
MF: 0.0018 (per edmunds in this area)

Ideally I’d like to keep the monthly under $1650, but I’m wondering if this is really the best deal that I will get anywhere in MA.

What do you think?

Hi there! If you’re willing to ship for about $600 from the DC area, I can blow this out of the water. I can get you under $1,500 with $4,150 (fees + first + tax on incentives) at signing. I’ll save you nearly $10,000 over the life of the lease.

How do you get an x7 4.0 up to $107k msrp?!

Ok but how do you benefit from that arrangement?

$62750 to rent an asset selling for ~100k / 106k OTD. Then start over again in 3 years and spend another 65 on the next lease?

That’s the complete opposite of lease hacking

Very easily. I just had a customer order one for $113,000.

This isn’t even with chargeable paint or a bunch of options:

I’d like to get this car and thought leasing would be cheaper than financing, since I most likely won’t want to keep this after 3 years.

You could also consider a balloon loan, the interest rate is slightly better rate than a lease, but you’d be responsible to buy it or sell it at the end of the ballon term.

That said, if you simply want to just have this for 3 years and give it back, a lease would be best.

I can get you well, well, under your target monthly and get the car delivered right to your home.

My dealer specializes in MA deals, a lot of out-of-state dealers won’t do them, but we both do them and know how to get it done efficiently.

That said, you also messaged me on Bimmerpost and I laid this all out there.

Feel free to email me your build at scott@insightautoconsulting.com or text me at 516-416-5481 and I’ll get you a quote @coolio!

Western MA area
2025 X7 XDr40i. looking for 39 month 12kmiles lease
As built MSRP $95,775
negotiated 5% of MSRP= $4788.75. Plus $2500 rebates for total savings $7288.75. MF 0.0081 (buy rate according to dealer). $1460 cash down
acq. fee $925
doc fee $995
monthly payment of $1363.29. do you think this is a good deal? I was looking for 8% MSRP plus the rebates but dealer won’t budge above 5%. do you think this makes sense versus going for purchase at the special 1.99%APR for 48 months being offered by BMW this month?

Isn’t it 1.99% at 60 months and 2.9%/72 months

You should take a look at the depreciation - X7’s depreciate rapidly - but a loan at 2% is free money

@Amoke I can beat this handily, feel free to email me your build, scott@insightautoconsulting.com

1.99 24-60 and 2.49 at 72 for states that qualify (MA does)

Residual is 48845 (51%)

@IAC_Scott , how much better you think you could do? I’ll definitely send you my build

Let’s do the math

  1. Financing at 1.99 after 60 months you’ve made X in payments, paid off the car and own equity worth Y with a tax break on your next car worth Z.

  2. In 60 months over successive leases you’ve made ~$82k in payments, you have negative equity and $0 tax break on the next car, and still owe $1365x12

Makes sense but humans aren’t logical

Average life of a car loan is 3 years - meaning people trade out

At-least another 3% off, but probably more, need to see where your build lands

You just need my build code right?

Yup, that’s all.

I’ll shoot you back a lease or finance quote, or both, whatever you need.

I don’t get it. A quick search on the forum would lead you to the marketplace which would show you that the deal you presented here is atrocious.

Brand new user, so I wouldn’t be so harsh in this case lol
