Hi there. What did you decide? The EX 30 I reserved is arriving next week, and I am trying to organize my strategy. If you made the deal and don’t mind sharing would love to see the final lease agreement, to have in the background when I make my proposal. There is virtually no data out there on this car yet. They ought to pay us to be guinea pigs!
Where are you located that your EX30 is arriving next week?
New Mexico
Will you update us? Mine is supposed to come in this week.
If I am not mistaken, there was a ship that arrived in Long Beach (or nearby) on December 9, that carried pretty much the whole (and maybe only) first tranche of EX30’s and from there they have been distributed eastward. The ship came from China, so there’s no doubt that all these vehicles were made there.
More like lambs to the slaughter. Every EV that’s been on sale for 6 months or more is on fire sale (even the brand new Polestar 3) but you guys are just volunteering to overpay.
I’ve been car-free for over 2 years and w/o a car payment for over 13 years. If it’s the right car for me (which I’ve been waiting for and it checks all the boxes), so be it.
Definitely not the first wave, but they are being built in Chengdu until some production is moved to Ghent
The heart wants what it wants, as long as the heart also enjoys Volvo service department coffee and Famous Amos cookies - you’ll have lots of opportunity for both during the lease - then treat yourself.
Yet here you are, buying/leasing Volvo after Volvo.
Those cookies and that coffee must kick some serious ass.
Hello, all! They would not budge on going under $500/mo for $0 DAS. For the ultra twin motor + rebates, it was effectively a $35k car and that is too much money on a monthly.
I have decided I’ll be moving to a house in the next few months where parking won’t be an issue and am now in a EV6 GT-line. It’s not quite as fast as my Golf R and it is a hell of a lot bulkier - it was a great deal though and a nice stop-gap for when (hopefully) more small hatchback EVs will be available in 2 years.
Good luck on your EX30s and maybe you’ll be able to get that number below $500/mo
I was speaking from first person experience. The dealer closest to me has good snacks and bad coffee, so last week it was 2 bags of FA
+ 2 Lyft rides + 1 A220 rental + 1 new RO = car came back with the same six problems.
I’ll decide in a few weeks when it goes back which service department treat to prioritize. Until then, it’s more fun than the Outback.
