Well, here is my take on dealers marking up MF. As long as they meet your target monthly and due at signing (DAS), it does not matter in the grand scheme of things.
However, given how new the EX30 is and also given that you are not being offered a discount off MSRP, I have no idea what a reasonable deal looks like on this car. You could counter with say $400/month (inclusive of tax) + $2500 DAS (this is just a guess) and see what they say. But again, there are no data points on this car, so I have no idea what a good deal looks like. Hope this info helps.
Hm - I hadnāt considered this. The P2 might fit my chair since itās sort of a hatch- I would have to check clearance⦠Iāll look into this as well. Thanks for the rec. Would someone be willing to put together a P2 deal together?
If it fits my chair, I would potentially consider the P2. Have done little to no research on it though and donāt know anything about lease offers.
As a general disclaimer though for future posters: I am not looking for cheaper vehicles. To reiterate - I have pretty specific needs and my situation is sort of niche with my wheelchair and garage clearance. Iām willing to pay extra for the sake of convenience and I think Iām pretty locked into the EX30. I donāt need a cheaper, larger car. It doesnāt work for me.
the polestar2 is smaller than the golf r on the inside, i wouldnāt even consider it given your requirements. it could probably fit a chair but itāll be cramped.
Ah, flying is a pain with my wheelchair. Not worth it. I will stop by the Denver dealership though and see if my chair fits in the back. Usually (similar to Audi A/S5) with those types of glass trunks, Iām able to get the chair in with one wheel off, which is a compromise and sort of annoying⦠but Iām curious.
Hereās an out of left field suggestion: Honda Civic hatchback hybrid? Itās getting good reviews, supposed to have good acceleration and handling (although neither would be R level), and perhaps enough space for your wheelchair?
More to finance than to lease, though, and not sure if getting an EV was a priority for you. Should retain high resale value.
You may be a test case on these but thereās a chance the $7,500 rebate goes away when Trump comes to office. I have to imagine discounts will start on these relatively soon in anticipation.
I got a polestar 2 because I needed to be able to fit my moms wheelchair in the back. No wheels had to be removed. And I did not have to fold the rear seats down.
