My EQS SUV 450 4Motion Lease is ending in October and I was able to get an offer for a 2025 EQS SUV 580 Demo with 7,500 miles.
They will : waive my last 4 paynents on my actual lease and do the transportation for free.
Here are the numbers below.
Savings should be
$7500 EV lease credit
$5000 loyalty
$10,000 dealer cash
So it looks like that $34k discount includes $10k in dealer cash.
Making their actual discount $24k
I wonder if they are actually waving your last 4 payments or if part of the discount went towards that
Did a quick check on the marketplace and found the following offer. Yours is a higher MSRP and includes taxes while this one is +tax so I think your offer is “good” but it could be better. See how motivated the dealer is and if they re willing discount it further.
Got it. If you sign up on LH as a super supporter, you’ll have access to some useful data in RateFindr.
It appears they’re marking up your money factor by 0.0004… which could mean there is room to press them to get the buy rate and save $70 a month. It’ll be great for you to confirm the money factor in their quote to compare against the buy rate.
Also, maybe @theduke can help but that pre-delivery service charge of $1,198 is off the hook. I’m not in FL, so I don’t know how effective it is to haggle on that point.
Otherwise I don’t really see where to work on the deal other than just asking for more dealer discount. I know there’s a ton of muddy stuff going on here… but if you strip out the Mercedes Benz incentives (the $7,500 EV + $5,000 loyalty + $10,000 fleet) the dealer is discounting 17% on this demo unit. And then of course your 1 month payment adds $968 back into the lease that you’re going to have to pay.
Some LH’ers were getting dealer contribution into the 20%'s. I don’t know how willing your dealer is to play ball.
Pretty normal for FL tbh. Most dealers are $995. It’s not negotiable. But it’s pure profit for dealer so have them make up for it with bigger discount.
Thanks so much to all. I tried with all your great feedbacks, but he doesn’t want to do anything else : take it or leave it : a few quotes from his answer :
" I structure lease transactions with the mindset of maximizing all available savings/incentives that are available to each individual client."
"for the money factor, every lease quote we use a retail selling rate not the wholesale rate. That margin is profit to the dealer that is balanced with front end margins or lack thereof. Also, a percentage of the margin is used to compensate our closing agents salaries/ "
I always ask that clients not get singularly focused on one item of the transaction if the totality of the transaction is accepted
MBFS is waiving 3 payments while we as a dealer will EFT the final payment.
Is this the bowtie guy? There are so few 25 EQS 580 SUVs available… your gonna have to take what you can get, if this is what you want. OTOH, if you wanted to go a more creative route, balloon loan on a CPO, you could bring the payment down 30%. Either way it’s a fantastic vehicle.
If you’re willing to go 2024 450 4matic, a loaded one (125k) with same discount at buy rate MF with Florida tax would be ~$811/month with $811 DAS at 24/10k. There’s $16,500 dealer cash on that one.
If you can find a dealer that will give a higher discount, 20% before all incentives/dealer cash would be $641/month with $641 DAS. That includes your 1 payment. At higher discounts 24 months is the way to go.
Edit: Forgive me those are sedan numbers. SUV at same MSRP/terms would be $819 at your current discount, $651 at 20%. $10,000 dealer cash but other terms are more favorable so payments are similar to the sedan.
It’s not MB Tampa. I won’t out OP’s dealer but hint you were helping your friend get an amg from here.
And @Olivier_Servelle, I know which dealer this is. They don’t really do unicorn deals since they are a lower volume store. But they are super friendly. They’re not lying when they tell you that this is how low they will go, I’m sure you could push for maybe an extra $1k off, but that’s it.
To answer a few questions, no I don’t need a 580. I love my 450 4Motion but I need a 7-seater and there aren’t a lot of options with this config.
I went to another dealer and they can only order 2026 EQS SUV 400 and 550 (New models) but they don’t have pricing info and conditions yet…
I leased my first car with them through a broker. But my demo EQS 450 SUV had only 200 miles.
At 7,500 miles, I know that I will have to change tires soon (I had to change every 7,000 miles with my actual). That’s why I’m trying to get the most out of this deal
