Deal check: BMW M440i Lease

Hello! Want to run this deal by you guys to see if it’s a good one:

2022 BMW M440i xDrive, about 12k miles on it (was driven by manager at dealership).

Monthly payment: $650 (includes tax)
Mileage allowance per year: 12k miles
Lease term: 36 months
Drive off cost: $2500
MF: 0.00200
Original MSRP: $61k
Sale price: $48k
RV: $29k
Service covered till 50k miles.

I have this deal and a comparable deal for 2023 Audi A5 Prestige, 0 Miles, $2500 drive off, $700 per month including tax, 12k miles, 36 months. Audi lease doesnt cover service apparently. Bummer.

In my opinion, the M440 is a great deal but wanted to run by expert Leasehackrs before I sign it

Doesn’t look bad on the surface even if rebates are wrapped into the deal.

What’s the catch? Superman build? (Blue ext/red int)

Hey buddy.

Go with the Audi we spoke about yesterday. Maintenance costs on a lease are negligent. You’re essentially leasing a used 4 Series for $650 + inceptions. 12k Miles…

Audi told me it was $1500 for the maintenance package. I plan on eventually selling the lease and getting a used car. I was thinking of getting the bmw m440 for now because I believe its easier to sell that lease over in a few months (perhaps end of this year) to someone as it’s a more appealing car.

It is blue exterior, black interior lol. Would that be detrimental to try to lease that ahead to someone else by the end of the year?

I would never pay that for an A5 especially when an M440i is available.

If you really need the Audi Care plan its actually a 1% boost in residual so it breaks down to half that amount. Dealer prob didn’t tell you that.

The test drive got me haha. Once I test drove the bmw m440, I knew my decision was going to be swayed but the numbers needed to make sense lol

The A5 had a $61k sticker if I wasn’t mistaken. The premium plus is mch cheaper.

That it leases like flaming garbage isn’t germane to the situation. OP will be much happier in the M440i.

From my understanding, the Audi A5 Premium plus/prestige would not be easy to get out of the lease because it’s not really wanted by a lot of people. But I could be wrong, this is just from my research of the current swap a lease’s I see on swapalease. That’s where I’m going off of.

Agreed, the performance of the M440i will be way more fun than that 4 cylinder in the a5. No way I’d pay 700 a month for a 4 cylinder sedan that lacks fun.

Go with your gut! Seems like you want the bimmer!

The Audi A5 leases like garbage or the M440?

I do but at the end of the day, my decision is dictated on what would be the easiest/best value to sell the lease towards the end of this year. Wish I had a crystal ball to check that haha

They both lease poorly but you seem to have found a good deal on the M440i.

It will be a much more desirable car to dump on SAL with 7-8 months left on the lease.

It will have about 24 months left or more on the lease when I do try to swap it out. Because the lease I will be signing will be for 36 months starting now.

Even better since we probably won’t be discounting LCI cars for a few months after the change over.

When do you think the change over/discounts will happen? This is my first BMW so I’m not sure how it works

I’m saying that your deal will look attractive on SAL when the same (but updated) car is leasing for 1.7x your monthly post-refresh.
