Hi all,
This is my first time leasing a car and would love y’alls feedback.
2022 Acura MDX A-Spec
MSRP: $59,363
Selling price: $58,363 (1k loyalty discount - They wont discount the car due to the new model)
Months: 36
Miles: 12k
Residual: 64%
MF: .00112
Texas taxes: $1,313.17 (After tax credits. Rolled into monthly payment)
Title and doc fee: $496.81
DAS: $756 (first month)
Monthly Payment: $756
I tried recreating this in the calculator but can’t get the numbers right.
I’ve asked the dealer but haven’t heard back yet but does Acura do MSD? Trying to get the payments down to $700.
If you’re already set on just getting an MDX, then you’re going to have to pay the price.
This is a terrible deal and it’s not going to get better anytime soon.
It’s the terrible discount that makes this bad and lack of strong factory support like there was on the out going model.

I look at it a different way.
For a Brand New Model year like 2022 and getting it for MSRP? Nice
Considering New Model Year and Design always go for more, I think he got an ok deal.
Then I would say why not a 2021 err 2020? You could’ve gotten some nice discounts on that.
Due to Covid, they didn’t have a 2021 model. It’ll be the 2020 model and it looks dated to say the least.

Are you sure that car is worth it for you? Outside of @aronchi here I haven’t seen that car discounted at all, but I think he only works tri-state area, so no help to you.

oh ugh I googled mdx 2022 vs 2021 and a few hits came up so I thought lets see the differences not checking if the 2021 exists.

Yeah the 22 MDX was supposed to be released as a 21, so a ton of sites speculated the hell out of it, and never bothered to change the titles. the wonders of internet machine driven garbage publishing
there are none and production stopped for a few weeks thanks to the semi shortage. these are going up in the near future bigly.

I currently have a 2021 RDX that the wife will be taking over. I’ve always driven Honda’s so Acura is what I am comfortable with. I’m open to other options but the new MDX does look really nice.
Here’s how I look at it. I got the tax credit along with the lowest MF. If I was to wait a few months, I can get the car for maybe 6k (10%) less. At 64% residual, I’m paying a premium of $60 a month. Trying to cover the $60 with MSD’s if Acura allows.

That looks like a 58625 car, not a 59363
you don’t include aftermarket stuff into MSRP and the MDX Pkg looks non original (Cost about $50)

That’s your cue to move on to a different dealer.

Not for a semi refreshed MDX. Nope.

Do my eyes deceive, or is this roughly double per month what a 2020 leases for?
I understand wanting the new sparkle, but hard pass. Not a good value at all.

What does this even mean?

He probably saw the $350 MDX + Fees post in marketplace.
Since Fees are approx $2k that’s really $410 for a DEMO 2020 MDX
This is a $756/m with first month for a new 2022 A-Spec

It doesn’t even look brand new; it looks like a mid-cycle refresh of a CX9.
Agreed the value is very dubious unless the OP shops around for a larger discount on selling price
